V	Vanessa H on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Looks like a nice small place to study but when I got there it was 4:45.. and they were cleaning up and putting up stools ready to close ar 5:13ish (closes at 6pm). Hot chocolate is expensive and made with what looked like to me dried up syrup :( 4.50 for a large which is a small size. If I took a small then it's the size of espresso shot. She warned me before I finalized my order and showed me the size of the cups... no space on the more comfortable chairs.. had a stool and I cant find a plug for my laptop..unfortunately I had high expectations for this place..not going again..
W	W Z on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Despite being a fairly small cafe, Humble Lion has all the resources and equipment needed to make consistently really good coffee. The staff are warm and welcoming, too! The cramped size of the cafe does often mean there is no seating left, but of course this can't really be helped.

The barista didn’t seem happy and said they are closed in 5 minutes (though officially it should be at 3 PM). My advice is arriving early if you don’t look familiar to them. I don’t think a filtered (black) coffee takes more than a minute to prepare.

They did apologize for the mistake but it’s a bit overpriced and it wasn’t even that busy, they could pay a little more attention to what people order. Place was nice and the scones seemed interesting though there was not a huge variety to choose from. I was just passing by but would not visit again.

Then the coffee was not warm, so I asked if they could heat it up. They just gave me a new one from the same pot that contained cooled coffee, instead of brewing a new batch or heating it up. I gave up and just took the cool coffee to a table and sat down to do some work. Unfortunately, the table didn’t have access to an outlet, so I could not power my laptop. The coffee here is more expensive than many other places and yet what I got was less. I used to really like this place, but I was disappointed today.
A	Abby Jansen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ very good cafe, great drinks and pastries. the tables are pretty small and close together making it not as great to use a laptop/study, it's also fairly loud. there aren't many tables either so it's not guaranteed that you will get a seat if you do go.
H	Hana Gill on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ OK their scones are no joke. I've tried the banana/chocolate and the blueberry/chocolate and they're really delicious. I find that when a lot of scones excel in texture, they lack a bit in flavour. Can't say the same for these ones. The chocolate really shines through the buttery and flaky pastry. The americano is a bit bitter, I wasn't a huge fan to be honest. Haven't tried any of their other beverages but I would still suggest having one to dip a scone into. A bit pricey but still comparable to other coffee shops- a pastry + drink will run you about $9.

As you enter the store, there’s a nice soothing smell that I can’t really tell what it’s from. The coffee is pretty good, a good energizer before a day at work. If I was still a student, I would for sure study here with a cup of their wonderful coffee.
