β β β β β This is place has been my best experience with dentists. I've had many fillings in my long life of drinking pop and energy drinks, but this place does the best job. I recently had two fillings done and was in and out in less than 30 minutes with no pain at all. Staff are very friendly. If I moved away I am sure I would miss coming here to get my teeth looked at.

β β β β β Best dental clinic ever. Over the past 6 months I'v had multiple fillings, a root canal, wisdom teeth extracted, the works. Each appointment was a very pleasant experience (almost relaxing if that's even possible). Zero pain, zero discomfort, great atmosphere, and super friendly staff. I have been seen by a few different dentists and hygienists who work there and they have all been great. HIGHLY recommend.

β β β β β TERRIBLE! I tripped on equipment wires that lie on the floor beside the patient chair. Went flying and sprained a middle finger badly , bruised the right side of my body. Although their manager called next day to see how I was , NO APOLOGY was offered. Direct contact with the owner ( email, phone ) was Refused. Although TECHNICALLY I could sue, the injuries wont last long enough. As a past business owner myself, i never hid behind my staff. TERRIBLE to avoid responsibility that way. SO I'm left with a VERY BAD MEMORY of this place to carry into retirement. I can only CAUTION YOU where you step if you choose to visit.

β β β β β I was asked if I objected to their office dog. Reluctantly I said it was OK.
However ,during my appointment the dog kept Nuzzling me repeatedly , as well as other patients. PLUS, several times it was barking loudly in the office, startling me and I expect the working dentists as well.
Animals are well known to transmit covid and other bacteria.
During a pandemic it may not NOT BE WISE to have a dog WANDERING AROUND FREELY and touching everyone , spreading who knows what type of bacterial and virus infections. You INCREASE your chances on catching something in a medical office with a dog. Think about it, and Stay Safe !

Dr. Van Gyn performed amazingly quick surgery for my wisdom tooth extraction. Love him and his dog!

β β β β β I have been a patient of Dr Van Gyns since the early 80's. Lucky me he is still working a few times a week!! He is kind, friendly, and does wonderful work. I have always felt comfortable and taken care of by his amazing staff. Everyone is friendly and goes out of their way to make me feel at ease. Thank you Cadboro Bay Dental. See you in 6 months :)
