I was placing a large lumber order with Sean Redmond at Bytown and was sent a detailed quote on Monday 01/31/2022. I based by contract numbers to my client off these numbers. And he had payment in full delivered to the store for the quote by 10am on Tuesday 02/01/2022. Less then 24 hours later. And once they had received payment, they informed me that they would need $8200 more for the order quoted less then 24 hours earlier.
After 3 different sets of excuses that were very quickly disproved on the phone Sean took the “Pay the extra or dont” attitude and had no justification for the after-payment price change.
Reputable businesses dont play these kinds of games.
Shop elsewhere. It may seem like a fair deal, until you pay them in full.
