★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recently moved into the area and they were highly recommended by a family in my neighbourhood. AMAZING customer service!!! I had them close my pool a few weeks ago. There were a couple issues with having the cover stay on, due to the crazy winds and a faulty wench. Suzie was quick to respond to my calls and sent an employee to re-install the cover and replace the wench. Very friendly and professional staff. The employee who closed our pool was fabulous, he answered all of my questions as I wasn't familiar with the salt water system. I can't say enough good things about the company and staff :) Thanks so much!!! looking fwd to seeing you in the Spring - Missy Osmond

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The main message for this review is be very cautious in trusting Ian Watson and his company “Above and Beyond”, to follow through on their written warranty if problems arise from their work.
“Above and Beyond”, is a landscaping company owned by Ian Watson, which was located just south of the Village of Osgoode. The company has now moved to Carleton Place.
In 2015, “Above & Beyond” completed a large contract to install a stone landing, stairs and a wheelchair access ramp at St James Church in Manotick Ontario. Mr. Watson was paid over $47,000 for the work. The contract included a written 7 year warranty on workmanship.
Only two years later, (2017) we began to see issues with the work.
The block walls were falling outward and the stone pavers on the ramp were separating and sinking. The polymeric sand between the pavers was failing and coming loose. Some of the glued wall caps had come loose.
I began communicating the issues in May 2017.
From then until now (2021), I’ve e-mailed or texted Mr. Watson 14 different times along with numerous phone calls and messages, requesting meetings to discuss the issues.
He has either completely ignored our requests or failed on promises to meet or to fix the work. He has only responded in writing on 4 occasions to my requests either with broken promises or excuses. He has done absolutely nothing to fix any of the problems.
On one occasion just recently, when Mr. Watson did promise to meet me, he left me waiting at the site for over an hour with no word, no communications at all on why he hadn't shown up at the agreed upon time. When I finally got a response via text, all he had was another apology and another excuse.
His customer service and communication skills in my view are sorely lacking, and based on my experience with this project, the quality of their work is questionable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Never again! We called this company several times to ask for a quote and once we got an appointment Ian cancelled and rescheduled. When he did turn up he asked us to send our requirements to his office and than we never heard from them again. Poor service and a waste of our time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately customer service is very poor and they never get back to you. I asked for 2 specific quotes and they quoted me for a completely different pool. There seems to be a lack of pool knowledge from the staff I have dealt with including making assumptions to get you off the phone. Gave them the benefit of the doubt multiple times and finally had to draw this conclusion.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I do not recommend this company and will never use again. Last fall I asked several times about a liner, and never got a response or call back. I also paid them to close the pool and since have found out from a real pool professional that it was not done correctly and could actually lead to damaged pool lines. We will see when we go to refill the pool if there is any damage, as they didn't properly seal the lines. For the cost, its ridiculous that don't know how to close a pool correctly, and the company name is definitely misleading to say the least.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Liner Installation.
Last fall my 4 yr old pool liner had a seam fail. I received a new liner under warranty, but the original installation company wouldn't install it unless I basically paid for a new pool. I called Ian at Above and Beyond Pools and he was out to look at my pool within a few weeks. He told me that he could install the new liner in the spring and he was a man of his word. The liner was installed in early may. My Pool is ready for Victoria Day Weekend.
In my opinion the liner installation by Above & Beyond is better than the original. The liner is smooth against the walls and the ground; which did not happen with the original installation.
Everyone was kind, pleasant, and willing to explain what and why they were doing. They cleaned up before they left and everything looked great.
