J	Jonathan Gasol on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I made the booking, but my friend was going to drive. I do not have a license. When we arrived we spoke to a female employee/manager. We were told that the credit card that makes the reservation must have the same name as the license. We said we did not know this rule, please show us where it says this on the website. They did not. We realized we were screwed, and asked for a refund. She handed us the phone, and told us we "Could call Budget." I said aren't we in a Budget? She didn't answer. She wasn't even offering to dial the number. I didn't know what number. She gave the impression we might not get a refund, but she would not answer anything. I kept asking why they couldn't handle our refund, since we were currently standing in a Budget. She was evasive, she did not describe their policy. Eventually someone in line recommended calling our credit card company to report this as fraud. We asked the employee if this was our only option. The entire time she was basically silent, obviously watching her words and speaking like a robot. She did not offer to ask someone who knew what they were doing. Honestly one of the most insane customer service experiences of my life.
C	C Coyle on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Update 3 years later, 2018. Still going to this Budget exclusively for all my car rental needs. All the staff are polite, friendly, helpful and accommodating. The cars are clean and exactly what I ordered. 3 years ago, 2015. This was an excellent Budget experience! I found a great online deal using Priceline that just happened to be at Budget. I picked this location because it was convenient. When I went to pick up the economy car I had selected it was a bit tiny for all the highway driving I needed to do. Barry helped me upgrade to a more appropriate size for only $18 more for the weekend! Even though his lot was filled with at least 30-40 cars and trucks, Barry found a spot for me to park my own vehicle (which is too old for a long trip). This was a huge help to me and very generous considering that car rental businesses typically have limited available space. When I went to drop off the rental car early Monday morning the lot was virtually empty so I guess they have a lot of satisfied customers. All the guys working there were very polite and I had no problems with their finding fault with the state of the car. I will definitely come back to this location if the next online deal I find is at Budget.
R	Randy Pitawanakwat on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I reserved a car for pick up on Friday, October 9 and drop off for Tuesday, October 13, a 4 day rental. Due to restrictions and closures from the second wave of the covid-19, my travel plans changed. I went to return my car two 2 early. I was told that I would still be billed for the entire 4 days. I felt that this was totally uncalled for and totally unacceptable. Customers should be entitled to returning a car early.

We feel like the employees at this particular location have taken the time to get to know us and they always look out for us offering helpful tidbits on how to get the best deals and best cars. They help by offering fantastic upgrades when they can. Barry is a super friendly employee, ready to take extra time to help. One time- Vicky the manager got us out of an accidental rental pickle that would have been costly for us. We are a family of 5 and non-car owners and rely on this budget location all the time for holidays and weekends and they have always pulled through. We have tried other rental agencies but in general found we get the best deals with Budget by thinking ahead of time and have found the quality of the cars/vans is far superior which now matters to us. We just had a great long weekend with a DVD player for our kids that saved our lives in bad traffic.
I	Ian on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Welp the original car i wanted wasnt available. This is the 3RD time this has happened to me. I was also forced to take another day because my father had a health emergency. The extra day was 50% as expensive as my entire rental for the week. Your employees were super nice and respectful. However, 212$ for one day is a little much. I will probably return to Maven once they open back up because they always provide me with the car i book and you don't. However, again your employees are wonderful.

I had booked online, received an email confirmation and a reminder the day before the scheduled pick-up date to check in online. When I arrived at the Budget Toronto Downtown office, everything went quickly. I got a car upgrade at no extra charge, there was no haggling about taking insurance or extras. What I had reserved online was what I ended up paying except I was given a more expensive car category. Return was also quick and efficient with a friendly staff.

There were no hidden fees or issues with the vehicle. When I called to ask to extend my rental for another day, there was no question and no crazy extra fees. Just an overall wonderful experience and I will definitely be back the next time I rent a car.
