Update: Omitting two stars since the sad story of un-honored reservations happened here for me in a case of a very important trip with Avis. I was told to pick up the car at 3 pm instead of 9 am although I reserved 6+ weeks in advance. I know it can happen due to nowadays car crisis but I expected the courtesy of being called in advance rather than getting to know the day before my reservation and after the second time that I called myself to confirm.
Finally had to pick up the car myself from the airport after a waist of time and money ($80 more expensive for a 4-day reservation).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great service, I rented a car on April 19 and there was a snow storm that morning. The guy helped cancel the pre-paid reservation for a car with no snow tires and helped me upgrade to a 4Wheel drive with snow tires.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I must forewarn customers of this particular site where the Avis/representative failed to follow due process numerous times:
despite a reservation made online and having used the fasttrack online process, no car was ready for me at the time requested
the representative despite provincial rules currently in vigor did not wear a mask.
my identity was not verified as my driver's license was not asked
I was forced to sign the inspection without having inspected the car, which I objected to.
it felt that not following such elementary processes put the dealing with Avis/Budget in grey zone, that is very unlike the good service I have learn to expect from the company.
