This is a great place for kids to learn to swim. However the main door is not accessible. Anyone with accessibility will find hard to enter and exit.

They are really nice people. My Brother has autism and they take really good care of him. Every instructor is nice. We are all very comfortable swimming in the pool with George when we go on vacations.

We have been clients at Buckler Aquatics since 2000. Three of our children have completed all ten levels of swimming and the eldest has completed his Bronze Medallion and his Bronze Cross at Buckler. Currently we have one child enrolled at the Scarborough Pool. I have recommended Buckler Aquatics to many friends who have been equally thrilled with the program! Throughout the past 12 years we have had incredible instructors who have high expectations in the pool and on deck. The children enter the pool with a deckhand and can expect to follow a regular routine while the parent can watch from a comfortable viewing area. I know that when a child receives a badge from an instructor that they have passed all the requirements!!

Excellent swimming program in Scarborough! Enrolled my 3 year old and 6 year old daughters and they have excelled well beyond my expectation. Great instructors and ratio to swimmers in the program. Weekly one-on-one updates to explain progress and goals. Clean facility and the pool is maintained at a comfortable temperature. Josh and the team of instructors do a great job. My daughters and I couldn't be happier with the program. Highly recommended!!

I took beginners swimming lessons at Buckler in 1972 when I was 6. I found the lessons so traumatic that I went from loving swimming to being terrified of it. My parents finally got tired of dragging me out of my various hiding places and let me quit the classes. Looking back I figured I was oversensitive, but I was talking to my older sister yesterday who also took lessons there and she confirmed my worst memories and added her own. They used to line us up with our toes curled over the edge of the pool, heads down, eyes closed, arms hanging limply with hands clasped in front, waiting submissively until we received a tap on the back of the head which was our signal to fall forward without resistance into the water. Why? When we were treading water, if we grabbed the lip of the pool, Jack Buckler himself would walk over in his wetsuit and step on our fingers. No joy of swimming there. But that was a long time ago, and maybe such techniques were in fashion. Judging by the glowing reviews things must be quite different now. I just wanted to be a witness to the past. The smell of chlorine still makes my stomach turn over though. So although l want to give zero stars, I gave two to acknowledge that Buckler Aquatics made me stand up for myself and refuse to ever return there. After a couple of years I could go back in the water again. Then, in 1975, Jaws came out.

Amazing staff and value for money. We enrolled our three and a half year old in August 2021. He disliked water and had no interest in swimming when he started the classes. Now, he enjoys his swim time and looks forward to it. We are impressed with the swimming instructors. They're certainly doing a fabulous job of providing comfort and developing love for swimming among these little kids. Thanks, Buckler Aquatics team. You guys are awesome.

My sister and I were enrolled in swimming lessons are Buckler Aquatics at a very young age (maybe one of the first swimming lesson experiences I ever had, although it is difficult to remember now), and I have only good things to say about this place. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and the current manager at the Scarborough location, Alex, is one of the sunniest people you will ever meet. The pool is warmer than most private/city pools and well maintained, with a great, spacious, quiet viewing area for parents/guardians with mirrored windows, so that the children aren't distracted if the parents/guardians decide to stay to watch the lessons. As for the staff, the deckhands are always very attentive and interactive with the young swimmers, and the swimming instructors are kind and patient. The instructors always seem to cater to each individual child's needs, with quality teaching for small infants to teenagers, and adult swimers, too. For children who are scared of the water, I've witnessed first hand how gentle and patient the instructors are with those young swimmers, going slow until they feel more confident being in and around the water. Although I no longer swim at Buckler Aquatics, myself, I have fond memories of "family swim" time back in the day, when my entire family would come to swim with my sister before her lessons when we were young. All in all, I can say nothing bad about this place. Definitely recommend.
