★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was really looking forward to eat here on vacation. I had been to the Mall of America location many times and thought this location would be the same in terms of service. The service was ok and did the basics (asked for our drink order, asked what we wanted to eat, got our bill.. etc) but did not talk about the restaurant and history of Bubba Gump whatsoever, like the servers do in Mall of America. I noticed that at the front of the restaurant they were looking for new people to join their team who were "fun and energetic" and our server wasn't. To top it off the food was overdone and calamari was mostly deep-fried peppers. The only reason I am giving two stars is because the atmosphere and decoration fit the theme.

I ordered the Texas (grilled) chicken sandwich (see first picture) and my husband ordered Forrest's seafood feast (see second pic) and both were really good and served nice and hot. The fries were nicely salted and my sandwich was delicious. I tried some of the fish and shrimp that came with my husband's feast and both were really good too (not too fishy)! It wasn't too busy and service was efficient. We'd go back there again for sure.

Ambience 5/5 very clean. We came around dinner time and it wasn't too crowded
Food 3/5 portion was small for its price. I exchanged my fries to a rice and the scoop was very small. The coconut shrimp is must try

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A solid restaurant. Food is ok albeit a bit under seasoned. Nothing a punch of salt can't fix though. Portions are fine. Service is solid. Ambience is good. It's a chain restaurant so I didn't expect it to be like the original anyways.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went here on July 23, 2021 and I must say has this restaurant gone DOWNHILL. Sad to say because when it first opened my family and I were excited. The food, the souvenirs, the service, the nostalgia from San Francisco to name a few.
First thing I noticed, got there to a completely empty restaurant and immediately was told it was a 45min wait. Very disappointing as we went for my son's birthday. He used to love this restaurant.
After the extended wait, we sat down to order from a very noticeable cut down menu. It Had a fraction of choices to what it once was.
Once we started with drinks, my son always orders his drink that comes in the souvenir cups. One main reason he loved and had chosen this place for his birthday. They said they don't do those anymore.
Once we all decided to order our food, my wife and I wanted the same thing. So I decided to order something else to try so that we could try different items. With the menu lacking, I decided on the steak. What a MISTAKE. Ordered it medium and it was super dry and zero taste. Not even a hint of salt.
Needless to say this will be the last time here. Sad to see it go downhill like this. It got two stars from myself because the service was good. And they were accommodating to allow us to cut our own cake inside for the birthday.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice atmosphere of you're a Forest Gump fan! There's shrimp. Lots of shrimp. I tried the Shrimp Heaven. Nice. We had a 20 minutes wait but it was Friday. Friendly staff. A little pricey - bit on par for West Edmonton Mall.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I got hooked with this place when I first visited Universal Studios in LA. I love the ambience and decor. Their foot is consistently amazing.
Our server Gabriel is very courteous and very pleasant.
I will always recommend this place and make sure I visit once I am in Edmonton!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a pretty good experience. Decor is cool. Service was good. Food was average.
The only general complaint we had was there was not a lot of variety. Menu was very small (probably due to COVID) and half the items were pretty much the same with slight changes.
I got the Shrimp Po Boy because I've never had one before. It was ok but honestly kinda boring. Maybe that's how it's supposed to be but it was not memorable.
Wife got the Forrest Seafood Feast and she said it was also fine. Fish was nice and hot but she's had better elsewhere.
