Great little area to hang out on the small sandy beach to catch a tan or dive off Bromley rock into the glacial lake to cool down and have some fun. Quite a pretty hidden place off the hwy with campground close by. Had lots of fun!???

Steep hill to get down to the beach, but the water is great no seaweed, lots of space. There are picnic tables on the upper part.

Really nice place to stop! Braved the cold water and went for a quick dip. Nice little sandy beach and apperantly an area for cliff jumping if you are that type.

I was not a fan of this campground and will never return. The spots were tiny with no privacy between them and you're right on the highway so it is incredibly loud. Truckers tend to travel at night so it may not seem bad in the daytime but overnight those loud big rigs go flying by every 30 seconds. Even if you wear earplugs you will feel the rumble. The trucks drive very fast on this strip of the highway. If I had kids I'd be worried about them wondering onto the highway. If someone lost control and crashed they would be driving right thru my camp spot that is 10 feet from the road with no barriers between the road and park. There is no cell service in this area. Obviously there is no wifi but I thought my phone would at least be able to make a call. There were no showers or flush toilets. The bathrooms were surprisingly clean. We went during the pandemic June 2020 and the park attendants were very carefully sanitizing the bathrooms and water pump. Too bad they didn't put the same effort into cleaning the camp spots. I camp on a regular basis so I know the spots aren't going to be perfect. But provincial parks usually have the same standard of cleanliness. At other parks they remove any garbage left behind, rake the gravel so it looks fresh and new, and keep it generally clean. I know they don't wipe down the picnic tables every time between guests but if it is noticeably dirty I assume they'd do something about it. But not here. My camp spot was disgusting. It looked like someone spilled a 2L of soda on the table. It was covered in a thick syrup. It wasn't even usable. And I didn't pack enough cleaning supplies to scrub an entire picnic table. There was rotting garbage beside the fire pit. It looked like old fruit that had been in the sun for a week. Swarms of ants were on the rotting food and the syrupy table. There was also massive piles of dog waste all over my spot. No one had cleaned it up so we were just stuck with it laying there all week attracting flies. It smelled so awful. I didn't care that the gravel wasn't raked. But I thought I'd mention it because every other BC Provincial park I've visited over the years has raked it after each guest so it looks visually appealing for the next person. I guess this location just doesn't put in the time and effort other parks do. The staff here was friendly. They weren't really around much though if you wanted anything. I know some BC parks have attendants on site 24/7. The attendant here popped in for 5 mins to wipe down the bathroom and he was gone again. Additional info about the area: This campground was very small and there wasn't much to do in the area. Just a highway on one side and a river on the other. No playground, no hiking trails, no sights to see except for the river. There was a day park beside it and you could walk down to the water. It was beautiful with a tiny patch of sandy beach but the rest was gravel and rocks. The water current wasn't too fast. It would be great for swimming but it was 12 degrees when we went on the first of June. The closest towns were Princeton 15 mins away and Hedley about 15 mins in the opposite direction. Hedley was tiny. One store, one restaurant. Cute little town though. Princeton was much bigger but still a small town. They had some good restaurants and shops. They had a drop in gym, a camp supply store, a Fields for general supplies and a Save on for groceries. Overall I feel the standards of this campground weren't the same as the other BC Provincial parks I've stayed at over the years. It just wasn't as nice. The park was too small and poorly designed. It was just one row of spots right along the Highway.

This is a Must Stop place!❤️?.Such a beautiful scenic drive to travel too. The water is amazing ? this one little rock I stumbled on turned out to be a rock a laid on ? then fell asleep on, this little Rock on the river was so comfy for a Rock, hit all the right spots on the back. Can't wait for a return, but what I suggest is get there early. I got their just after noon and it was started to get busy. Lots of sand and lots of rocks. slippery rocks so bring water shoes and a floatly. This is a great day time use area, And there is a Camp Ground too. Not to mention a jump off and various heights to jump from into deep waters. Like I said a Must Stop!

Offering both day use and camping, this is more than a place to take a rest or stop for the night, majestically tall pine trees greet you at the end of the parking lot. More than a dozen well-kept picnic tables are about 20 feet from the your parking spot. Walking down to the river is a sandy beach where you can get a sun tan, listen to the water running over the rocks. If you swim across the river you can climb Bromley Rock and jump into the water, about a 15 foot drop. Even if you don't like swimming or jumping it is fun to watch other people do it!
