★ ★ ★ ★ ★ beatiful before humans destroyed this area, and camp supervisor is useless, had both nights wide awake with noise from partying locals, camp attendants not on site... epic fail, tenting is getting harder by the summer...

Noisy because of proximity to highway across the river.

Although river and valley views are lovely, actual river access is not easy – there’s a 20ft steep, crumbly drop between the campsites and the river – would only be readily accessible by very athletic people.
Almost-level dirt pad. Picnic table and fire pit provided. No camp fires permitted due to extreme wildfire danger. Posted rate (fall 2021) $15/night/site. The ranger didn't come by to collect, though!
Traffic noise is almost overwhelming during the day due to the straight stretch of Crowsnest Highway 3 across the river. It does quieten down a bit at night, but expect disrupted sleep.
Speaking of crumbly, be careful taking vehicles into the riverside sites … there are narrow but deep washouts that could snag a wheel.
Long-drop/thunderbox toilet was clean but the fragrance (after a summer of use) was eye-watering.
Despite this, we enjoyed our afternoon of r&r and overnight at the site!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely campground, if you like bringing all you need and packing it out.
Lucky number 13 is the best spot, with "easy" access to the rappids and the road across the way obscured by trees. The rappids have an easy going whirlpool on the side of the campground and real daredevils can tube down the main rappids.
