Delicious breakfast, friendly staff. The chicken and waffles are so tasty, and the serving is huge. I loved the Asian fusion details throughout the menu. The wagyu beef sandwich with kewpie mayo is excellent.

Lovely Egg Toast sandwich for breakfast in Downtown. The food taste delicious and we really enjoyed them. Also, there are lots of seats to eat at the location. Quiet place for chatting with friends and enjoy meals. We would definitely visit here again and try other specialty foods.

I tried the classic bacon and egg sandwich because the reviews were great but my sandwich was dry and the egg was not that soft either. It was just a bland sandwich with a bunch of mayonnaise on top. Honestly I didn’t see why there is such a hype over this place. Perhaps it was just a bad day for the chef, but first impression plays a big role so I don’t think I will return.

Egg ? Definitely the go to place for egg drop sandwiches in the core of Vancouver. I had the spam egg drop sandwich and it was really good. Since there was a lot of protein from the egg & spam, the sandwich ended up being decently filling. Egg was also really well cooked and had a brilliant egg flavor. The only reason why this is 4/5 is well... It's ~$9 for an egg sandwich. Yes, it's a wonderful egg sandwich, but it's a hefty price tag ?‍♀️ 100% recommend for a first try, but I feel like this is more of a discovery food rather than come back again sort of food. ?✌️Still good though!! ??

Nice little cafe tucked away from the bustling streets. I had the classic ham egg toast and it was delicious. Eggs were fluffy and the toast was perfectly done. Would definitely come back next time i’m in the city.

Great quiet location hidden in such a busy area. Food was really good. Even the side of greens you get with your eggs Benny was fresh with a light and creamy citrus dressing. Coffee was also very good, not bitter at all. Going to have to come back. 4 stars instead of 5 because we felt the potatoes were slightly over seasoned and the wagyu egg toast needed more green onion to cut the richness. But even then it was enjoyable!

Went on Thursday right before they closed. Ordered a truffle egg toast. Paid $12 after tip. Bread was thick yet fluffy. Eggs were soft. Truffle flavour was strong, but didn’t really add anything special overall. Mushrooms were okay. Could’ve incorporated it in with the eggs for a better consistency. Cheddar cheese did not match with the truffle flavour. Would come again to try other sandos. It’s very filling. Felt like taking a nap after eating this, which is bad if you gotta go back to work.

They make a tasty breakfast at the Bread x Butter Cafe. Trust the map, but don't expect the storefront to be on Hornby St. The restaurant is actually inside the Cathedral Place Building on the ground floor. Access the building via the entrance on Georgia St., and proceed Northwest through the building to the restaurant. The food is good. I recommend the Traditional Breakfast, but get the bacon rather than the sausage. Everything was nicely prepared, and the potatoes were among the best I've ever had. And of course the bread and butter are good.
