★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've walked into this shop several times to inquire about prescription lenses and have always met staff that are extremely helpful and products that are most bountiful.
Their wares are trendy, stylish and hip. And best of all, reasonably priced! I highly recommend this spectacle installation.

After my eye exam, choosing my glasses was a breeze. The team is honest about what looks good on you - which made me feel confident when purchasing my glasses!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had an amazing experience picking out new glasses with Danielle today at Brass Monocle. The extraordinary experience started with Danielle's help at their CORE location on Thursday where she assisted me in finding several pairs of glasses that I liked. Today when I stopped by the Mount Royal location Danielle was back in her home store and picked up where we left off and walked me through the different assortment found at their second location. I ended up finding a different colour of one of the frames I liked downtown that worked better for me and purchased them! I highly recommend any of the friendly staff as Brass Monocle BUT if you are someone who struggles to find the right pair of frames then Danielle is your girl! She is patient, knows her stuff and makes great recommendations. She also wasn't super "salesy" and respected that I didn't want to spend what I considered to be an outrageous amount of money on new glasses. Thank you for such a great experience!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went in for two new eyeglasses: total--$2500+. The sales representative [rep] was fine and courteous at first but got increasingly frustrated when I asked to see more glasses. Glasses are a serious personal and necessary item that people have to wear during their waking hours and are, an understatement, very expensive. As well, so many kinds and designs exist that choosing one takes a bit of time. Because of COVID, the rep said, I could only look at a limited number of glasses; essentially a few in only half of the display cases. Fine--but only one other customer in the store so the staff resources didn't seem to be an issue. The rep seemed irritated, and complained to me that the more glasses I look at, it will cut into the rep's lunch time as the rep has to sanitize those the rep brought out for me to see. Left and went to another eyeglass place altogether who were way more friendly and patient. Won't go back to BMonocle; didn't feel welcome, especially as an interested customer not just browsing but for how instrumental glasses are to see and look on one's face but how much money I was about to spend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You pay for what you get and they definitely have higher end glasses. So if you're on a budget this is probably not the place. If you want stylish glasses they have a wide range for every personality. I appreciated the time, knowledge, and patience of the various wonderful staff who helped me find a perfect pair.
