We hired Brad and his team to renovate our home in Ajax earlier this year. We got the main floor done (including the kitchen and powder room) as well as the second-floor bedrooms and main bath. Simply put, him and his team transformed our home and we couldn’t be happier with the end result. I won’t spend too much time discussing the quality of work because you can see for yourself on his website—its top notch and high quality. Craftsmanship aside, there are certain things people look for when hiring a contractor. Things that go beyond just the final product. So, here are few the things I noticed when working with Brad. He’s a great communicator—which goes a long way in his line of work. If you’re like us, it was our first time working with a contractor and we weren’t sure what to expect. He always gave us a call just to check-in and provide updates, and he would periodically set-up times for us to meet in person to talk big picture items and address our thoughts and ideas as the project progressed. In between those times, his admin team always kept us in the loop. Brad is also a great problem solver. We wanted to knock down a few walls and create an open concept on the main floor. After consulting with architects and engineers, he came up with a creative solution that provided exactly what we wanted—without blowing the bank. He’s extremely transparent and honest when it comes to both scope of work and associated costs. We were lucky enough to have no major “behind the walls” issues, so our additional costs were minimal and always optional. Any additional work, beyond the contract, was discussed, agreed upon, and put into writing before any work is done. In other words, there are no surprises with him. Lastly, Brad is very passionate about his work. You can tell when someone loves what they do, and Brad loves to help make your dreams become reality. Right from the moment we met him, we knew he was the man for the job. He gets really excited when we would throw around ideas and that enthusiasm really translates into the finished product. In the end, I highly recommended Bradshaw Builds. In fact, we referred him to my friend’s parents and, after seeing our place, they decided to hire him as well.

We were set on starting our major main floor renovation with another contractor, when a friend recommended we consider Bradshaw Builds. From the moment they came to look at the job we knew it was important to them to build a relationship with their clients. The team of Bradshaw Builds provided the full suite of renovation services, from design, deconstruction, trades and finishing. We whole-heartedly trusted Bradshaw Builds with our budget and renovation. Our home is a back-split and we wanted to better use our space on the main level. This included, removing two walls to open up the entire floor, removing all flooring, trim and kitchen cupboards, replacing all lighting with pot lights, laying of new laminate flooring, installation of new kitchen cabinetry and island along with tiling, painting and all the final touches. Their experience, professionalism, integrity and strong desire to satisfy their clients are the reasons why we would definitely hire Bradshaw Builds for our next renovation, big or small!

We hired Bradshaw Builds to renovate our bathroom. After our first meeting with Brad we new we would be in good hands! He set realistic timelines and explained every step prior to starting- he didn’t just tell us what we wanted to hear in order to get the job. His team was friendly and professional at all times and all were skilled in their trade. Brad updated us throughout the entire project and always let us know what would be happening next. Upon completion we were more than thrilled with the final product! Our bathroom is stunning! We used Brad and his team to do a complete 1400 sq ft unfinished basement from start to finish. We could not have been happier with the outcome. We found Bradshaw Builds through a local Facebook group and so glad we did. Everything was looked after and on schedule. Each night I would look forward to coming home to view the progress, and the attention to detail was second to none from plumbing/electrical right up to trims and paint. Bradshaw builds was recommended to us by our realestate agent to do our unfinished basement. They did everything from installing larger windows, full bathroom, framing, drywalling, floors. The crew was very friendly and professional. Anything that we asked they did. We picked out the floors, tile, paint and everything and they put it together beautifuly. The bathroom is gorgeous with a beautiful glass shower stall. They did an excellent job and we love our newly finished basement. It did take a little longer than originally quoted, but worth the wait.

Not only did Bradshaw Builds abandon our contract. As part of our project Bradshaw Builds was to replace our wood burning fireplace with a new linear gas fireplace. We trusted this to be installed professionally and to fire and safety code. However, Bradshaw Builds failed to comply to construction standards and fire safety protocols. We used the fireplace for the first time and within 30 minutes the fire place caught fire. It is clearly evident that Bradshaw Builds does not know or refer to proper construction guidelines related to natural gas because spray foam is highly flammable. TSSA is currently investigating the matter. This is the final push posted however he abandoned the project. They walked off with the money that we paid for the finish and the quartz, As well as the remainder of the project was left incomplete.

We hired Bradshaw Builds team to do a main floor renovation which included removal of all interior walls to give us an open concept floor plan. He built us beautiful custom kitchen, enlarging the whole space that looked so small with walls. It took his team 3 months to give us our dream home. It was definitely worth the wait. We had them back to do our master ensure washroom. He recommended a curb less shower which is so beautiful. I highly recommend the Bradshaw Builds team. They are honest, reliable and overall amazing
