★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The person who answered the phone who is presumably the owner(Terry) needs a lesson in answering the phone, customer service, and general manners. I didn't even go as far as asking him for any quotes as I got a bad vibe from speaking to him in less than 1 minute. I would not waste my time with this company.

My wife phoned them to get the process of getting a quote from them on a bathroom renovation and next thing I know my she's hanging up the phone with tears rolling down her face. She told me she was speaking with the proprietor of the company and he just kept saying things to her to make her feel like an a**hole because her budget was unrealistic and that going to home depot to gather your own price list on tubs, fixtures was just an idiotic waste of time to get an estimate. In the end he ended up hanging up on her.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have personally seen 5 major renovations this company has done. Each time outdoes that last! Excellent quality and superior workmanship. I have spoken with him for my next project and have found him to be extremely knowledgeable and helpful and to the point! No humming or hawing – he was frank and straightforward. I read the reviews here and was astonished at the comments. People obviously don't know how much things cost in the real world. If you want excellence you have to pay for it otherwise go to IKEA and stop complaining. I am looking forward to working with Terry and his team and this may even turn into a whole home renovation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been using the services of Durham Home Renovations for the last 6 years and I can honestly say i have never been more happy. I didn't call Terry and tell him how much i wanted to spend because lets be honest no one wants to spend a lot. He came to house and assessed what I wanted and gave me a price. I started with my ensuite in my bedroom and he ended up doing my entire house! Everything is just beautiful. From bathrooms, to wood floors, painting everywhere, new doors and windows and as you can see my BEAUTIFUL kitchen..the dark before and the beautiful cream kitchen after. If there was anything i didn't like he fixed it and carried on. Terry never made me cry but he was honest and there was no B.S.. Is he to the point, absolutely, but I would rather have someone honest and to the point then rip me off and be all sweet. You choose! He's got one more bathroom to do and he will have done every single room!! Terry I'll be calling ya!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Called to inquire about getting an estimate i was given nothing but attitude shortness and overall rude correspondence should of read reviews prior- my suggestion is to move along to another contractor - if this is a representation of his professionalism then i would not take a chance on his contractibg skills being any better.
