★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely setting plenty of flowing water, even watched some Mallards in two ponds that seem to be sourced by a spring from somewhere up the hill. Many path areas are iced over, appropriate footwear, suggested.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 2 acres of fenced area, largely open with a sandy terrain and bins so you can clean up after your dog. Never crowded because it is so big. But the parking lot is small, so at peak times it can be hard to find a parking spot.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beware of rating as most rate Bowmont park generally and not just the fenced-off area for off leash dogs.
Pros: huge, but can still see your dog at all times. securely and fully fenced. Has Garbage cans. Nearby great walking paths and river for a leash walk after. Not much feces - most people pick up. Big parking lot.
Cons: 98% dusty sandy dirt when dry (even when we thought it would be frozen) 95% Mud pit when wet. Random medium sized rocks to cause injuries. Often had run-ins with poorly trained dogs wanting to wrestle. Little shade - Maybe 5 big trees in one small corner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fenced. The fenced area is not very big so dogs get to play with each other. More time to say hello or chat with fellow fur parents. Outside the fenced area is a beautiful pathway to the Bow river. Dogs who loves to swim will enjoy this.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great park for my Loki. Well maintained and excellent access to the Bow River Pathway and the Bow River.
It could use some extras such as “moguls” for the dogs to run around and up and down. After all, it’s all about the chase and socialization. ????
Love that even outside the fenced area, there are places to allow dogs to be off-leash.
Definitely recommend.
