★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A food highlight on our trip to Montreal. Cold beer and Vegan pub food. The shiitake buffalo wings and bacon cheeseburger were absolutely delish!!! Highly recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ all of the vegan restaurants around this block were closed so we happened upon Bowhead just as it was opening and were pleasantly surprised it was vegan! great cocktails and something on the menu for everyone. poutine and brussle sprouts were great. mac and cheese was okay. fish tacos had amazing fried banana blossoms but the rest of the taco was not flavourful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice vegan place. Table Service was amazing although we had a reservation and we had to wait for 25 minutes before we got sitted. Food is more than decent and cocktails were very good. For a pub, is definately a 5 stars. As any vegan / vegetarian food , most of the dishes are VERY very salty because probably of the soy. So get ready to order a lot of beer or drink a lot of water. You will get dehydrated easily. Verdict : give it a try.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was excited about this place, and heard good things about them, However my personal experience told me otherwise.
First of all, the cocktails are very weak, it could be easily mistaken as a mocktail.
Then, theres some problems with their printing machine, that the food we ordered didn't get served until 15 mins later after the table which came after us finished their meals, which I can understand that might happens sometimes.
When the food finally arrived, it doesn't not taste as well as it looks, the patty tastes froze and plain. But the worse part is that there is a hair in my honey chicken burger, which completely killed off my appetit.
With all these, the final bill was $50 per person, I will not come back here again for sure. ESP, for the carelessness of the kitchen.
Side note: if you want good vegan food with fantastic cocktails, Lola rosa would be a better choice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our server was wonderful and the food was absolutely incredible. The animal fries had some of the best caramelized onions that I have ever had. The shitake wings were on point texture and flavor wise, and the cauliflower tempura tacos had great sauce on them. The drinks were strong but tasty ??. The music and atmosphere were also very fun. We were dancing and singing in our seats. Will definitely be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve been here many times and would love to give a higher rating but I feel like with each visit, the quality of service decreases. Our waitress was not friendly whatsoever and gave me attitude when I asked about our drinks (45 minutes after sitting down!). It took forever for her to come see us, I had to call her over to take our order & it took very long for our drinks and food to arrive. Also, the first time I had the animal fries was last summer and they were sooo delicious. I’m not sure what they changed but they’re not as good anymore! That being said, still a great spot for vegan pub food.
