Peaceful, peaceful, peaceful. Wake to the song of birds singing, a light breeze in the leaves, water lapping softly at the shore. In the afternoon, relax, read, or meditate beneath a tree or on your private deck, besides the whispered songs of nature, only the sound of children's laughter as they show the first fish they've caught to their parents. Drift to sleep with the lullaby of the leaves, the lake,summer crickets, and the song of a bullfrog. Listen very closely, and you may hear the distant choir of mountain wolves in the background. Feel your brain chemistry start to heal. Your blood pressure and heart rate return to normal. Discover the healthiest place you can find for your child to acquire self-discovery and focus. You have escaped the repetitive urban thud of someone else's stereo bass, or the insect tinniness of someone's leaky earbuds. In the quiet of nature, there is room for families to actually speak to each other, to reconnect with each other and to connect, (for some people, for the first time) to genuine nature-created surroundings. Truly "green" people know that human caused pollution in the environment includes not just plastic and carbon, it includes noise. If you cannot live without an artificial soundtrack of Drake, Conway Twitty, or Ottawa traffic report, in your day, this is NOT the place for you. Owners Roger & Ursula always understood the beauty of a place is found not just in how it looks but how it sounds. New owners Graham & Johanna have added thoughtful touches of their own: colourful new seating, luggage carts for guests, and are doing an impressive job interpreting and taking care of their guests' needs and comforts. A small fragment of visitors may hope that a change in ownership will mean a lowering of standards and that Bonnechere is now open for business as just another radio/stereofest for the Molson crowd. We're sure Graham and Johanna understand it's not just the visual beauty, but the rare and precious peacefulness of a nature created environment that results in Bonnechere's unique 5 star reviews, and keeps loyal guests coming back generation after generation, and that they'll guard that treasure well. If you can't live without your artificial noise devices, this is not the place for you. Expect others to ask you to turn off. You can live in all the noise you want back in your manmade place of origin. But if you truly love the organic peace of nature, and the heartbeat of your children connecting to you and their surroundings without a barrage of artificial noise, interference, and distractions, then fish, swim, and sleep well for the first time. You may have found your heaven.

What a nice spot. Sweet little cottages, boat launch. Fish jumping right out of the water! A treasure.

Bonnechere Lodge is a one of a kind place. From the Lodge to the Cottages to the Campsite it is by far the most inviting and cozy place to spend time. My family and I (and extended ) family have been able to be here for more than 10 years in the trailer park and rented cottages before that which was such an amazing experience. Everything is kept impeccably clean and tidy and hosts are friendly, warm and inviting - just the place you want to be with your kids or even just alone to relax. There are a ton of memories that have been made here and expect a ton more. It's a 5 star experience in my opinion.

The peace and quiet atmosphere. And we have good distance from one another not like most camp ground were we have very limited space..

Beautifully situated on Golden Lake, the campground provides everything for a lovely stay - sandy beach, kayaks, a small playground and all amenities. Exceptionally tidy and clean. The nearby trails are good for hiking and biking. Graham, thank you for your hospitality!

Well run camp-resort. Basic, but well-equipped, clean and comfortable cabins in a lovely location. Been there twice now and am looking forward to going back. Big thank you to Graham & Jhoana for being great hosts!

The family guests for whom I booked said Bonnechere Lodge was immaculate and well-cared for. Owner Graham was so helpful with changes we had to make to our booking due to COVID. The recent upgrades are beautiful and the beach is lovely.
