★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This organization had a complaint filed against them with the Town of Caledon this week. They had gone onto the turf field outside Humberview without a permit and were practicing their pole vault lifts on the turf by running with their poles and jamming them into the artificial turf enough to leverage the athletes a few feet in the air. When asked to stop damaging the field by a teacher from Humberview who had just finished a legitimate practice on the field, they became aggressive and hostile. They lied repeatedly about having a permit, (the town has said they didn't have one), and they chose to be aggressive and hostile instead. They then changed their tune from "we have a permit" to "we can be here for free after 5:30pm", both stories proven untrue by inquiries with the Town. One must wonder, if they do not have a permit, are the athletes who are lifting themselves in the air insured on the turf? I think that is a good question for their insurance company...assuming they have insurance. I certainly hope that this company is not billing parents high registration fees, and then operating without a permit.. That would be illegal in addition to dangerous, on top of not being good citizens with no regard for town property. I would not recommend this company to anyone or any parent based on my observations. There are many better managed and honest organizations in town.
