I cannot say enough about Alfonso and the whole team of employees at Auto Block. I’ve been a customer for almost 17 years (as soon as I got my license/car, I went to Al). My whole family uses Auto Block and I still return, even after moving 45 minutes outside of Bolton almost 8 years ago. Alfonso and his team provide exceptional, quality, honest, trustworthy service at reasonable prices. I really appreciate how they give a clear explanation of the work that needs to be done and are more than willing to show me the problem, if I ask. I’ve never felt that I’ve been overcharged or pressured into something that really doesn’t need to be done. Auto Block has always been accommodating to my schedule and doesn’t just leave my car sitting there for days- if the team can’t get to it right away or at the scheduled, they let you know. I also purchase my tires through Auto Block and Alfonso has saved me a lot of money over the years. Aside from the business itself, Alfonso is a very kind and humble person. He serves and gives back to the community, which says a lot about his own personal integrity and the integrity of his business. I want to say a HUGE thank you to Alfonso, Jose, Jesus, Moh, and the rest of the Auto Block Auto Repair team, as I've been a returning customer for years and for a multitude of reasons. Alfonso is one of the kindest, most generous owners I've known, as he always ensures my safety and vehicle are top priority. I don't know much about cars, but with each appointment I've attended, the team has always taught me something new about my vehicle in terms of functionality and assembly, and also how I can best be prepared for upcoming seasonal changes and scheduled maintenance. Alfonso always finds a way to schedule me during the busy seasons, even if staffing is low, the team still works unbelievably hard and I can't thank them enough for keeping my vehicle in amazing condition. Alfonso, Jose, Jesus and Moh are truly skilled technicians, always making sure that any maintenance that needs to be completed is tended to in a timely manner, and always facilitate accurate timelines if further work is required. They are quick and efficient, as some appointments I attend are before I need to go to work and don't have a lot of time during the week, but the team always finds a way to make sure I am tended to and I really appreciate this. Absolutely horrible experience at Auto Block. Alfonso simply does not care about his customers or your time. I never had such a nightmare experience with any mechanic in my entire life. I brought my Van in for repairs and Safety check in early March. It took 3 weeks for him to even check my van for what it needed. I had to visit his shop several times to ask when he would get to my vehicle because he won’t answer his phone if he knows you are calling. The amount of excuses I received was simply comical. Here are some of his best hits: “I am alone here today”….”I only have one mechanic here today” ….“I have a training course I need to attend”…”I have to change an engine today”…”I have to change a transmission today” …”summer tire change too busy”…”winter tire change too busy”…” I have no parking space for you van”…”come back tomorrow “ and so many more! Finally he did some repairs and safety but the work was not done right and didn’t address issues we discussed in detail. Brakes are part of a Safety Certificate check so why does my vehicle not break properly? Brakes are not smooth and feel bumpy. Rear brakes are overheating so much you can smell burnt rubber from the tires! Work done on my Air Conditioning worked for one trip! When I brought it back I was told I would need to change my entire AC system. I spent $600 on the AC compressor that I ordered plus labour. In all I spent 1,700 dollars and still need to take my van elsewhere to repair the faulty work done by Alfonso at Auto Block. Please do yourself a favor and stay far away from this shop where all you will receive is poor work and excuses.

I have been going here for the past 10 years and Alfonso and his Autoblock team are the only mechanics I can trust and be treated with honesty and respect in return. They are very honest and are upfront which are values not seen at other shops, and most of all treat you like family and not just a simple customer. I have been recommending this shop to others and will continue to do so just because every experience I have had has always been a positive one. Worth the drive to fix your car issues and will continue to recommend to others, great job for the autoblock team!

I found Alfonso’s company Auto Block when the engine in my Mazda six crapped out more than 10 years ago. He gave me excellent guidance at the time and helped get a replacement motor for my car which was just past the warranty. It was way cheaper than Mazda was quoting and the car lasted me another seven years before I sold it to somebody else who is still using it. We have taken all our cars to Alfonso since that time and he has always been a excellent and reliable mechanic for our vehicles. When we were looking for a new vehicle for my wife, we went to him and he recommended a Jeep Cherokee at the time which we did purchase and it has been an excellent vehicle for us also. I cannot say enough nice things about Auto Block and Alfonso – I have always felt like he values our business and treats us with honesty and friendliness. We also see him in the summertime working with the downtown Bolton BIA installing and watering all the flowerpots which helped beautify our little downtown area and we also see him out during the Santa Claus parade volunteering with the OPP and Halloween to keep the kids safe on the streets. It makes me proud to support a local business when the owner gives so much back to his local community.
