It was unbearable to watch the stress they put them through for 6 months, only to terminate their contract leaving them with nothing. Now my parents have to hire lawyers to help them get their money back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We hired Böehm construction to build our house. We had cleared our lot, survey completed with hydro and septic installed - Böehm said they had other projects on Gabriola and it would be a perfect fit. We provided them with a detailed plan of our simple 1 bedroom house and Böehm stated they would have someone in house draw up a set of basic drawings and then send plans to a contact in Alberta to have a full permit set completed. We originally had a quote from a designer who estimated our drawings would cost $1200 to complete, however Böehm did not send our drawings out and had their inexperienced office worker complete our drawings which ended up costing us $8267.20. Böehm continued to bill us for a total of 29 607.46 and then terminated our contract. They could not find any trades and just kept billing us stating “no luck” They quickly deregistered our house which took our building permit out of the queue, leaving us with only a set of plans. We are now forced pay for a lawyer to recover our losses. If Böehm rectifies this situation I will remove my review.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a project in mind of lifting my house and adding a full basement. One would logically think checking if the foundation was strong enough to carry the extra load would be one of the first steps. Boehm figured waisting my money drawing up plans and getting a quote was more important. They charged me for picking out toilet fixtures and shower's instead. Obviously not there money. Adding 12% to there fee on a vanity had I already purchased. My project manager was so new to Boehn he did not even know how to pronounce the name of this company. Beware they are happy to steal your money. I trusted professionals what a mistake.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everything was great except the painting contractor left something be desired. Disorganized, missed multiple big ceiling areas and even other bits, never came to redo bad job on railings or suggest other fix for poor painting work on same. Otherwise I was very pleased. If there were half stars I’d probably give 4.5, but having to choose between 4 and 5, they’re definitely better than a 4. I’d recommend them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Boehm is such an fantastic company, this is the second time they've worked on my house and I would be happy to recommend them to my family and friends. They quoted for the job and came in very close to that amount, there was some changes that occurred once the job started but they always checked with me before going ahead with them. I had Rob Pronick as the site manager, he was amazing, friendly, professional and such a hard worker.
Nice to have someone who cares about the job being done properly. Whatever your project is, it will be in good hands with this company.
