The past 6 months has been an inspirational journey in witnessing the impact going back to school has on people's lives. It takes courage to take the first step in making change, especially in the decision of preparing for a new career. It is a privilege for me to be part of a team that treats it's students like family and dedicated to ensuring the success of each student while in school and upon completion. The Nanaimo Academy of Learning Career College has been a proud part of the Nanaimo Community for the past 26 years. With the recent transfer of ownership our college looks forward to upgrades to the campus, future works shops and community participation. The computer based teaching model allows me to progress at my own pace, moving quickly through easier lessons and taking my time to review more challenging ones. The on site administrator and learning coaches are always available to help and are an excellent support.

During a challenging COVID time when many other testing centres were closed, this centre created a modified and safe testing space that allowed professionals to follow safe health protocols and continue on their learning journey. The Academy of Learning allowed me to complete the necessary government exam and continue on with my professional development. I am extremely grateful to these hard-working people and highly recommend this place for government exams. Thank you!
