Bob Taxi

I was extremely pleased with the efficient and professional service and transportation that I received while riding with Jamaz last week Saturday coming from Ziplining. The vehicle was clean and he drove well. He was super kind, personable, and professional. It was a pleasure!

Called dispatch, taxi showed up in about 9 minutes, got me to where we needed to go

Bob taxi was great and fairly priced! Would recommend and the driver was nice!

Driver picked us up at 1:10 pm, missed the exit to Ottawa from Boul St-Joseph - he went onto Maisonneuve to get to Bank Street at this tme the meter had read 15$ and we were still in Gatineau. When asked why he did not go all the way to the King Edward bridge to get to Bank because he missed the exit - he said he was not used to taking that bridge to get to Bank. What happened to putting the customer first?. He was going to start taking side streets- claiming the GPS was the reason he made the customer feel he was trying to cheat and charge what was outrageous. Bob taxi? Never again. We should stick to Regal/Crown.

Great fast efficient service, very kind and k knowledgeable. New to Quebec and bilingual, driver and dispatcher quickly provided service in both Languages, until I insisted, I'd prefer to practice my French again. Realizing I was new, driver gave me all the best places to go for services in are. Perfect service.

Called and waited 51 minutes, called dispatch and he told me the old story that new driver etc etc and every time you call dispatch you get told a Chevrolet is coming in 4 minutes. A little bit of honestly would go a long way, was told on the phone they are the largest and if I call someone else I will wait longer. Turns out these guys are actually REGAL TAXI as well, using more than one name. If it's not busy, they come fast like anyone else would, when it's somewhat busy they become a different beast...

This taxi provider is the same as Bob, Regal & Crown taxi Gatineau. Seems to be only option at this time as far as this service goes. Based on my experience as a 'loyal and valued regular customer' over last 2 years: Generously speaking, at least 2/5 taxi drivers have not worn masks -- customer being obliged to wear one. 1/5 with mess in car and/or off putting smell. 3/5 show displeasure upon less than 10-15% tip. Cost is at least 30%x that of Uber or Lyft, while service is simply not even 30% that of the former. Have clearly been juiced for money with improper routes -- very often if not every time. So badly so that I've gotten out of a handful and walked after they missed my stop or something similar. E.g. a couple times this winter they missed my stop and went onto a busy one-way downtown street in traffic; so, I got out and walked back. Or, take photo attached of a recent example that really ticked me off (taking almost 2x the necessary route length). Then, 4/5 times I have to provide directions. The other 1/5 times the time is ticking (i.e. am being charged) while they enter address slowly into GPS. Why?! For someone who takes taxis rather than bus so that I can attend business meetings, this is the opposite of the service I am looking for. I've given up trying to ask for better or take pictures of wrongdoing (below). Took bus for first time in years the other day and walk like a madman. Photos to support statements above posted herein. We ordered a taxi from Bob taxi for an airport run 12 hours in advance, for a 3:45 am pick up. Taxi did not arrive so we called Bob taxi again and we were put on hold for 6 minutes, at which point we hung up. We waited till 4 am and at that point felt we would miss our flight, and so took our own car and left. A taxi sent a message at 4:04 that they were outside our house. This late service almost made us late for the flight. Will never use Bob Taxi again. Really unacceptable service.
