Boathouse began in 1963 as a small business in the Canadian city of St. Catharines, Ontario. Known locally as Arlies, the shop specialized in active lifestyle apparel and footwear, catering to outdoor thrill-seekers and sports enthusiasts alike. Since that time we have expanded our presence in Canada to more than 80 stores nation-wide, now known to most as Boathouse. We continue to sell active lifestyle brands, offering the best in clothing, footwear, accessories and more. In 2008 we launched Boathousestores.com, bringing the Boathouse experience to you at home, or wherever you choose to shop.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everytime I go to this place, I have the WORST customer service. 3 different times the employees were the rudest people possible. They won’t even ATTEMPT to get shoes out of the back when you ask for a pair and give you the SNARKIEST look whenever you ask. They ignore you when you walk in and don’t acknowledge that you’re even there. It takes 4 people at the checkout to make a purchase. It’s ridiculous. Don’t even bother showing them a giftcard or any discount because they won’t scan a discount and say they “don’t know what that is” and it takes, once again, 4 people to use a giftcard.
