All I knew was that I enjoyed sports while growing up and still loved being competitive. The idea of going to a gym had always turned me off and yoga was not on my radar at all. I had seen a documentary on Diamond Dallas Page and his yoga journey, yet I still thought it was primarily for bendy skinny females. Well I was wrong!

Of course, I ended up eating at an All You Can Eat sushi place for lunch and then wound up at my first class a few hours later, which was of course a hot class. I was nervous about all sorts of crazy scenarios happening, but I survived and enjoyed myself. I was intimidated but enjoyed the challenge. I was intrigued by the intensity of the postures and enthralled by the calmness of the breathing. It was a refreshing feeling of pushing myself, breathing through the discomfort yet having to be so laser focused that any outside distractions were gone. The ability to just be mindful of my body, my breath and my movements and being able to let it all go and relax at the end.

My career has me working with people who use drugs and alcohol and who are often experiencing homelessness, which can be quite challenging. Having time to myself to release stress, sweat a lot and try to grow has been wonderful.

When I first took a class with Leanna I thought she was lovable but crazy with her love for boat poses and stamina challenging core classes. However, I realized she did it all with love and I hope everyone can experience it. Her reassurance, passion and determination to see other people engulf themselves in yoga is remarkable.

I lost 100 lbs the first year of doing yoga and being mindful of what I ate and would not have done it without encouragement. I have no doubt her love transcends through her studio and the teachers she allows into that space. I hope to see you on your mat there.

I'm so grateful that Leanna's studio is open again. My doctor suggested doing yoga when I struggled with anxiety and depression. The focus on breathing while practicing yoga really feels meditative and always lifts my spirits. It's also been great for my balance and strength. At 63, I was surprised to find that I could just lift up my legs and put on my socks without sitting on the bed or balancing against the wall.

I have been practicing yoga for a number of years and it is hard to find a studio that truly builds community. Leanna and her staff have done a wonderful job of not only offering classes, but also building a community. The facilities are clean and well cared for, showing the dedication and attention that comes from an owner who is commited to offering a space where everyone feels welcomeand comfortable. The instructors and classes vary which allows practitioners the opportunity to have diversity in their ongoing yoga journey. I do not hestitate to provide the full five stars on this recomendation.

Leanna is a wonderful owner and instructor. She is a thorough instructor who assists everyone in the class with their individual needs. She is very charismatic, calm and her teaching is amazing. I recommend everyone try both the warm and hot yoga classes.

There’s something about a locally-owned and operated studio that feels welcoming. The design of the studio, skilled instructors, and dedicated owner create a warm (literally) atmosphere for beginners and yoga veterans alike. My personal love for this space is the natural lighting β€” windows and blinds are used to calm/or brighten things up. Observing blue skies, snow or clouds in warm studio has a way of adding to a practice. After experiencing different hot yoga studios, I love BlissPowered’s infrared technology. It heats the space up evenly, my body is warm to the core, and I always get a refreshing sweat on. Paired with each instructors’ attentiveness and focus on form, I can trust that I’ll be sore the next day :). Definitely worth checking out, I’m happy to recommend this studio!

BlissPowered Yoga is such a warm and friendly place to practice yoga. Years ago I fell into depression and felt awful. I gave yoga a try and the depression resolved quite quickly. I continue to practice as I know and feel many benefits for the body, mind and soul. Not only do you stretch and strengthen the muscles, the nervous system becomes calmer and focused. Absolutely a five star rating for Leanna and her magnificent team.

After several years of bouncing between downtown and the NW, it is so nice to have a yoga studio in the NE. Leanna and the other teachers are all so kind and welcoming as soon as you step in the door. The amount of natural light in the studio is beautiful and although the studio is heated it is not too hot. Everything is just very honest, authentic and wholesome. I would definitely recommend BlissPowered to anyone :)
