Blatchford Field Medical Clinic - Edmonton

I have called this clinic 4 times on 4 different days during business hours. Zero of the calls were answered, but instead redirected to a voicemail that promises a return call by the end of the day. I left two separate voicemails 3 days a part. The first was not returned, and the second was returned the following afternoon. I cannot comment on the medical care, I was unable to make an appointment due to there front-end problems.

I feel sorry for people that can't speak English very well and need to go to this clinic (Blatchford Field Medical Clinic) for immigration reasons. I have been there with my mother in 2 different occasions, in 2 different years... The doctor was amazing and friendly, HOWEVER THE STAFF IS RUDE AND NOT HELPFUL! If you call and leave a message, good luck to get an anwser! And in person, if you are not fluent in English, and you need any kind clarification or support, the receptionists won't help you and they can also make you feel unconfortable because of it (it has happened to my mom last year, and if I was not there to translate and support her, she would have left the clinic crying). This year, after 1 week calling and trying to book an appointment there (because the doctor was nice and this is the closest immigration medical centre for me), I have changed my mind, called them back to say I'm going to have the immigration medical services in another clinic and making a complaint about their (lack of) services. After that the staff has returned my calls, but to be ironic and rude by phone, and to hang up on me (This is a customer service??? Really???). Now I'm taking my parents to a clinic at the South area (Heritage Village Medicentre), with a really supportive and amazing staff, that has helped me with all kinds of directives and has booked the needed appointments at my first call! I am really sorry for whoever needs assistance from the Blatchford Field Medical Clinic staff and I do not recommend this clinic at all.

The doctors are good but my goodness, it is literally impossible to get a hold of the receptionists. I've never seen an administrative system that's so bad. It's been like this for one year already, totally unacceptable. I'll give a 4 for the doctors but I'm giving a 1 because I cant see the doctors if i cant get a hold of the receptionists!!!!! Edit 11-20-19: Since posting this the communication has gotten better so I will increase it from a 1 to a 3 rating. I'm not sure why they close all days at 4 pm now, as they used to be open on Wednesdays until 6:30. This is a bit difficult because I work until 4pm and used to be able to make appointments at 5 pm.

By far a very terrible doctor( Dr. Pulaski), i tried to explain to to him that the medication I was on was not working up to par lately long story short the conversation was a mixture of me telling him I'm getting Lippy again and him taking it as I was complaining about the vaccine pandemic and kicked me out of the office when I was actually telling him that I was lipping off my boss about him taking the vaccine and blah blah blah long story short he didn't ask me why the meds were not working he just assumed that they were working thinking that we are just having a conversation about vaccines long story short I found out I'm not supposed to be drinking orange juice with the medication which he could have asked me did anything change with your diet he didn't even try to investigate why the meds were not working by far the worst doctor does not listen to you whatsoever does not want to do anything but push you away and give you another prescription to fix another problem that first pill has created.

Dr. Nason has been my Doctor coming up on 2 years in January. She is wonderful! She makes me feel comfortable, listened to and she is very down to earth. Listens to all of my concerns and sends me for any necessary tests needed to get the proper diagnosis.

Dr.Scanga has been my Dr for a few years now and he is fantastic. His nurse, Adriana is also very good. They are a great team! Now that this clinic has a new receptionist, I'm finally able to call there and have the phone answered! The new young guy Owen is great and I hope they get rid of the old one Dina. That's no way to run a clinic where no one ever calls you back!

I have been seeing Dr. Santa for almost twenty years and have never had any sort of problems. My calls have always been returned and you couldn't find a better staff. Warm, receptive and understanding.

I was here for the immigration medical examination. All the staff including the doctor (Dr Scanga) were friendly and pleasant. They were very familiar with the procedures required and gave clear direction as to what tests to do and where. Beginning with my initial phone call to make the appointment (which they responded within 30 minutes) up to the end of having my records sent to the authority, the whole experience was smooth, pleasant and swift. Highly recommended if you are looking for immigration medical examination.
