★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My girlfriends and I went here for happy hour and it was great! The food tasted great. We got the avocado fries, carne asada and a variety of tacos. There was so much flavour! The bulgogi tacos weren’t that great.. I would suggest getting something else than those ones. The service was okay, we asked for water about 3 times until the server remembered to bring us some. Would come back for the food and hope the service would be better next time!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was excellent and loved the spicy coco chilli margarita. The waitress made us feel super welcome and suggested the best bites to go along with the drinks. Must visit if you're in downtown Calgary. We made no reservations but i would recommend that you do coz it's a hot spot. Outdoor seating is available but we chose to side inside as it was sunny out. Loved the ambience and music wasn't too loud.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came here twice over the last 2 weeks because it was so good! They play such good music on Saturday nights, it’s a very nice ambiance. They have half price tequila and tacos after 9pm which is amazing! I like the watermelon margarita and the wings are super delicious too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food was decent, it is definitely worth it coming for taco Tuesday. I enjoyed the DIY aspect of building the fish tacos fajita style as I don’t eat tacos often, so that was fun. I absolutely loved the slightly spicy mayo sauce. The portions were great and the gauc for the nachos were delicious, although it would’ve been a lot better if they could spread the nacho seasoning out evenly.
Overall, I would come again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great afternoon here during happy hour! The margaritas were so good! Pineapple (without the Smokey flavour) was my favourite, after the Classic. We had tacos, too, but they got eaten too fast to snap a picture!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Blanco Cantina is in a good location and the atmosphere is warm and vibrant. There are lots of colorful decoration, lights, and televisions. Everything feels welcoming from the bar to the wooden stools.
The people are very friendly and give exceptional customer service. They make sure to make room for everyone whether it is someone with a reservation or a spontaneous walk-in. They are happy to answer questions and food comes out quickly.
The food was very tasty. It had all the savory and spice that I look for in mexican cuisine and the side dishes/condiments are freshly made. I enjoyed the meal very much.
Sadly, this was docked two stars because it is overly expensive for what you get and when I ordered the special, it is not made clear that what comes with it still costs it's regular price. It is clear that there is a lack of communication, if not false advertising. Please let the people know this!
