E	Ebrahim Moamer on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was looking for a good and professional ashphalt paving contractors to repave my whole drive way but as you know it is hard to find a reliable one these day because the good ones alway booked up. I was lucky that Black Tar Paving was doing a drive way in my neighborhood and I asked them if they can do my drive way at the same time. They accepted to do and they did such wonderful job . They show up next morning with all their equipment and a Truck loadoload of and gravel and start the work. They were really professional on their job and were using appropriate machnary for the job. They also lay down my whole driveway with Finisher ashphalt which usually used for commercial applications. The job done very smoothly without any complication . They happily delivers what they promised. I highly recommend this company for any one who is looking for professional an good job done. But I believe you need to book in advance because these guys are super busy.

Their crews showed up on time, they smiled and were polite, and cleaned up before they left. Their lifetime warranty is awesome! What more could anyone ask for? We would recommend Black Tar for any driveway project. Call them up and ask for Samy, Ramy or Remi. If that's too confusing, just ask for Big Tiny. Tell him Ed sent you.

We did encounter some communication issues with the estimator as well as the administrative team, however, Ramy's professionalism and client service was exemplary. (Overall, 4.5 of 5) would have been 5 stars otherwise.

From the start, the business dealing with Black Tar was pleasant. The gentleman who came to collect measurements for the quote was very professional, patient, and reassuring. Following the quote, Black Tar presented us with a number of options beneficial and helpful to us, from available discounts, to financing options etc…. The teams that came to carry out the work were consistently very friendly, professional, and considerate. Although they were busy with their work, they remained attentive to our questions, needs etc… which they addressed in a very cordial manner. Overall, the quality of their work, their punctuality, dedication, and professionalism were first class. We also sincerely appreciated the human side of the business dealings with Black Tar.
R	Ryan Ahola on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Update - August 2021: I had Black Tar seal my driveway which was paved in 2019. The sealing went very well with Adbul fixing several small cracks that had developed close to tree roots. The result is great! My only recommendation for improvement would be for Black Tar to more clearly communicate when their clients sealing appointments are scheduled. Their system only notifies you several days before your appointment is scheduled as it can change to to weather. I would prefer that a tentative date be set, with updates sent via e-mail as required. Original Review: Black Tar recently repaved my long driveway in Ottawa. Overall the entire process went very well. An initial quote was completed very quickly and I appreciated having a detailed description of the work that would be completed. The cost was also significantly less than quotes from other contractors. The paving itself went smoothly. Black Tar confirmed all of the work I wanted completed and updated me as the work was being done. All of the old asphalt was removed and a new gravel bed was laid and compacted. Then, the new asphalt was put down. Once finished they gave me specific instructions for how to care for the new asphalt. The new driveway turned out very well and is a huge improvement over the old one. I'd happily recommend Black Tar to anyone looking to complete paving work.
s	sylvie trudeau on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I did considerable research and obtained several quotes before selecting a company to pave my driveway., I decided on Black Tar, Remi, the Senior Project Estimator, took the time to explain everything, he was very knowledgeable, did not pressure us, I was sold on Black Tar. Their pricing was not the cheapest, but in my experience, you get you pay for! So we went ahead with Black Tar to pave our driveway and did a fantastic job. They were very professional and very clean and courteous. . Would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a great job done. Taif ( the owner) was an amazing person to talk to and was on site during the process. Thank you very much to the team that was here to do a fantastic job. Professional, friendly and reliable. Would definitely recommend!

Work consisted of peeling existing asphalt, installing interlock bricks in front of the garage and front entrance, and asphalting the rest of the driveway. Overall, the work product looks great. My interactions with work crews and the estimator demonstrated a friendly, hard-working and knowledgeable team. Of all the phases of this project, I was most impressed with the interlock installation team, Adam and Antonio. The interlocking pattern is aesthetic, the stone cuts are precise, the area is level and graded, and they left my yard clean. I’ve had many compliments about their work specifically. An area of frustration was a pattern of unresponsiveness to my communications by the office team. This resulted in project missteps due to my change requests from weeks earlier not yet being addressed, and due to the two quotes for my project (one for asphalt, one for interlock) not being connected. This would have resulted in work being done that shouldn’t have been done, if not for the fortunate situation that I was home whenever workers were on site and could clarify what I wanted done before they started. Overall, I do recommend Black Tar. My driveway looks great and my interactions with the work crews and estimator were wonderful. I would encourage the company to explore ways to streamline office processes and improve client communication. Thanks again for delivering a quality driveway upgrade that I’m happy with, and draws frequent compliments from the neighbourhood.
