★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Only word I have for this bar is exquisite. Very nice woodwork and brass fixtures. The place is large and has something for everybody. I had the best steak I've had for the price here. It was very tender and delicious. Service was great, beer was cold.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was only here for the restaurant, so please know that this review is purely based on the restaurant.
Overall, the atmosphere and experience was great. The menu in particular is well suited for easy staple meals out west. I had a very easy time deciding what I wanted based on the easy to digest menu. The food too is of excellent quality.
The one knock I had and the only reason it's a 4 star is because of the drink menu. It was hard to find a list or selection of drinks without having to pester the already busy waitress. Perhaps this is due to covid but I can't be certain.
I would also say that this location is family friendly, clean, and inviting towards guests.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rooms are ok except the TV doesn't have sportsnet. Don't get it, basic TV?
Service in the bar and restaurant was terrible. Waited forever for a waitress to acknowledge our table. The longer we were there the Service got better.

Came in with a large group 15 people. Was told that we should have let them know we were coming.. I guess next we will call. Wasn't happy with the waitresses snarky attitude.
Food was very good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We walked in for a Valentines Day lunch. We were immediately greeted by one of the girls. Our waitress Sam came right over to take our drink orders and left our menus. Expecting an old style Alberta hotel bar and menu to match. Surprisingly their menu had the standard pub fare, plus much more. We made our selections and in no time at all, our meal was served! The food was great and good portions for both of us. We followed with one of their specials and it was delicious. Anyone visiting the Black Diamond area should definitely take advantage of the Hotel bar and restaurant... Well worth the visit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Finally we made it to the hotel its been 3yrs. The service is great just as it always has been. They changed the chairs there not sure why it doesn't matter. The beef dip & fries with there great gravy still rules ?. The place was just about packed. I highly recommend everyone go here for a meal. Everything on the menu is great. The soup is just like my grandmother used to make. ✌️
