β β β β β i've been coming to this clinic since 2017 and i always have such a great experience :) dr downey is one of the most sympathetic doctors i've ever met and the staff are always friendly and accommodating. i had a walk in appointment today and the wait was a little longer than expected but it wasn't the end of the world. i honestly don't know why this clinic has terrible reviews

β β β β β I visited Bison Family Medical Clinic on June 28, 2021 because of Immigrant Medical Examination requested by CIC. This clinic is professional and I like οΌanimalοΌBison which stands for Manitoba: work hard, handsome/gorgeous, strong, elegant, honest, reliable and gentle/shy/quiet. That day I met many friends, such as: beautiful ladies: Ms. Firdous, Ms. Ansh at Front desk with their sunshine smile, so warm and friendly; Dr. /Mr. Timothy K Ross, who is responsible, considerate, efficient, kind, patient and detail-concerned, guided me to complete the whole check; and I also thanked for X-ray team, blood test lab teamοΌDynacareοΌ. All Bison Clinic staff make efforts to serve everyone who visits there and I noticed that they usually have no time to drink water. Maybe every ordinary Winnipegers/people in the world does the same thing to go all out for making our lives better at different positions: like Orchestra. So I am inspired by those teams and hope I am similar to them. Cheer up! Thanks again.

β β β β β I had extremely unpleasant experience in this clinic. There were 2 female receptionists who responsible for customer information and medical exam paperworks, they were so rude to us didnβt even listen to what we said, responded to our questions in such inpatient and rude tone. Most ridiculous thing is they misplaced my urine test(I placed the urine strips in front of one staff in the box as per her instructions, after I called her multiple times she finally turned around and nodded her head & said I am good to go) 2 weeks later I got notified that I have to come back for retest bc they CANT FIND IT.
Why would let these irresponsible people taking care of others immigration matters if they donβt take things seriously. You have to understand that your tiny little work mistake would cost customers tons of time and energy to get back on right track. Get proper training and fix your attitude!

β β β β β Lets say you have a virtual appointment for 9 am and you haven't received any phone call at 12 pm. I do not have to explain how frustrated that can make you feel. If you got busy with lots of walk-ins, may be have the decency to inform the patient that there's delay/reschedule? And don't tell me this was a one off situation; I've been with this place for 4 years and 80% of my appointments (virtual or in person) have had at least a 45 minute wait. What's the point of booking an appointment at a set time, if you cannot honor it? Due to the repetitive nature of your delays, there's only one way to look at this: it is an establishment that is utterly disrespectful to their clientele and you have zero regard for other's time. I apologize if my tone seems too rude, but I've been pushed to my limit over time.

β β β β β My whole family sees Dr Barnes and we are absolutely happy with his level of care and are very grateful to have him. I would give him 5 stars! But I deduct two stars because the admin team (though relatively nice) are not organized at all. On more than one occasion I have had to wait delayed periods of time to see specialists Iβve been referred to. To only to find out my request was never sent! Then getting that sorted out with the Bison Med staff is like pulling hair sometimes!
As someone who is office management of a health facility this is brutal to watch and have to deal with. I hope the owner makes changes quick. Or creates better work protocols to ensure jobs are being done correctly! Especially because the health of their patients is at risk.
