Bilton Welding & Manufacturing Ltd - Shop 1 - Innisfail

I worked at Biltons for all in all about 10 years of my life. Almost 3 years were spent in shop 1 fine tuning and tweaking the machine that was built to manufacture polyurethane injected panels which was dubbed "the panel press" Nothing was easy working anywhere within any of the shops at Biltons. Either you were being over worked with no acknowledgement of your self sacrifice when you were at 40 days in a row OR once i was promoted to a more supervisory position i got told i worked to much alongside my guys and I should be in the office doing the paper trail stuff (but it was all done...) While I was employed here i learned how to operate all kinds of equipment and tools but i also had my foreman/friend blow his brains out on a Friday after work...I hired i fired, I wrote reviews, I created the Safe Job Procedures manual for shop 1, I introduced the rubber palmed semi cut proof work gloves to Biltons mainly shop 4 and 1 after a bad cut cuz there was only the leather gloves available. I was grateful to be put through Supervisor and Management Training program but i also watched one of my co-workers rushed into a vehicle and to hospital after a huge tank on a skid was set down on his hand, pinching parts of fingers right off and i also tried to remain patient when i was nearly 8 months overdue on my own job review. My own personal record of longest day worked was obtained at Biltons and it stands strong for me at 19hrs. Eventually I was rail roaded outta my job by a guy that I suggested for a management position instead of me as i already had more then enough on my plate. He got the role i had suggested him for and it took him maybe 4 months to get me fired. There's my Biltons story in a very much shortened nutshell. There's good and not so good just like evry other job. The pictures are of actual jobs I did.
