It was an easy, appropriately-priced option for storage and moving, since our closing dates for the old and new houses were a couple of weeks apart. The rep from BSB with whom we were working was easy to contact, friendly, and professional. The pick-up and drop-off were super easy as well, with the driver giving us a call before arrival both times.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We used BigSteelBox for our move from Ontario to Alberta. Overall the process went smoothly and the Company was able to deliver the box earlier then expected. This was definitely the better option than to drive a truck across the country.
Two stars were removed as the Company does to appear to understand the calculation for sales taxes. Full 13% HST (Ontario's standard rate) was applied to the moving charge, when only 5% GST should have applied. Domestically, for freight and transportation costs, the sales tax to be applied at the rate of the destination and not the origin. As such I was charged an extra $300+ more then needed. Filled a request with the Canada Revenue Agency to request a refund for sales tax incorrectly applied. They agreed with my interpretation, and refunded the over charge. As a note to the company, please fix this! If a change is made to your policy, I will consider adjusting the rating of this review.
