Dropped in here before work and ordered #21 pulled pork. Very fresh bread, the pulled pork was moist and tender, absolutely delicious. These sandwiches are packed with ingredients and very satisfying. Service is quick and the owners are very friendly. The only downside is the location of this business - they aren’t very visible, location is hidden behind the bulk barn. Highly recommend their sandwiches!

Was excited to try out a new place, especially given that they cook their own meats. The girls behind the counter were nice and offered suggestions on what to get, so I went with their recommendation. Overall the sandwich came out looking ok but as soon as I picked it up I could tell that it was doused in sauce. The bottom bread was soggy and squeezing it caused sauce to come no out the sides. Trying the beef on it's own, it tasted as good as any roast beef I've had, but was undetectable as part of the sandwich - the sauce was just too over powering. After a few more bites I couldn't shake the feeling that I had eating similar sandwiches before, and that's when I realized that it was basically a Quiznos sub without the toasting. Next time I'll try the turkey and hope for better.

I am altering my review because I like and respect the owner. He challenged me on the $30 price. Let me clarify - ONE OF THE MOST EXPENSIVE SANDWICH experiences you have ever paid for so you had better enjoy it. These are great people at BIG STAR. They try hard and have do indeed have a great product. I had a sandwich experience that was over $30 ($18.50 for sandwich + drink and tip for one person. How can you have a foot-long sandwhich without a drink and chips...right? On the tip, since no one else at the restaurant - just me and you...it is really awward so you have to tip. Also, you machine is lovingly programmed at 20% on top of taxes. You are right, not nearly $30 but OVER $30 sandwich, chips. drink and awkward mandatory tip for lunch. As previously mentioned it was a great sandwich but I have not been back. Sorry to say it better be good for that price and it was! I did ahve sticker shock and buyers remorse after though, as I truly could have eaten a steak at the Keg.

Hands down, the best sandwich I’ve ever had. I always order off Uber and it’s fresh, beautifully packaged and delicious. Thank you! The Turkey is amazing and your sauces are so yummy. You won’t be disappointed getting a sandwich here!

Tried for first time this week. I ordered by phone and picked up. It was ready quickly, they weren't busy at all. It's tucked behind and kind of hidden in the ironwood mall. I ordered a large #1 turkey sandwich that has stuffing in it. It was very good but also very expensive for a barely 20 cm sandwich that cost $16+ .That's just over 7 inches. Compare that with 6 inch/foot long at Subway and free toppings. Big Star will charge you extra for even lettuce. The sandwich was small so I also went to also get some chili at Wendy's because I was starving. But it was different, made with real turkey (which is my weakness), the bread was fresh and tasty stuffing. Not sure I'd rush back because it's so pricey but was a good treat.

First time trying Big Star, and it met the expectations of being a solid sandwich shop. Price can be a bit steep, but at least the size of the large is fair. Picture shows a large Tony Montana (~$13.50) pulled pork sandwich. Pork was tender and moist, the saucing amount was just right, and the bread is excellent. Hickory sticks are interesting, but a novelty which the sandwich doesn't have to have. Would go back to try their 20+ other menu options at some point.

Great sandwiches at a reasonable price. Made fresh to order. Good vegetarian options. Service was brisk and efficient, if not very friendly. My turkey with stuffing and cranberry was very tasty. My wife had the veggie sandwich without any fake meat, 29 I think. She said it was also very good. We'll definitely come back when we are in the area around lunch time!
