I enjoyed my 10-day course. The curriculum invited me to learn new vocabulary relevant to real life situations. Over ten days, I had three instructors. Each one had an effective and different teaching style. These differences complemented each other, and so my lessons were varied and valuable. The reception staff was welcoming and helpful.

As a government employee it is essential that I keep my language skills up to date. I went to Berlitz to take advantage of their free language assessment. I was extremely pleased with my experience. I found them to be professional, thorough and detailed. The evaluator was kind and helped me to feel at ease to give my best possible effort. She was confident in her ability to assess me and I found her feedback to be relevant and helpful. I would recommend working with this company if you wish to evaluate your levels, develop language skills or maintain your current skill level. Well done Berlitz!

I registered in Berlitz Ottawa for private English class to get CCC for my language test in the government. The registration processed was really easy and they were flexible for the payment. My teacher was amazing. She personalized my lesson based on what I need it to work on and she was very patient with me. I was able to reach my goal for my work language test.

I have been enrolled in the Berlitz Ottawa French program almost continuously since Jan. 2018, and am currently finishing level 5. During this time, my reading, speaking, and oral comprehension in French has improved dramatically. I enjoy the prompted conversational style of the lessons. The pacing of the courses are well designed. Even if an exercise looks very challenging at first, I'm often surprised at how quickly I can find a solution, with the instructor's help and supervision. I have had many different instructors during my time at Berlitz, and all of them have been wonderful.

Berlitz had some of the worst, least professional communication I have seen from an organization, as well as some very sketchy business practices. When my mom and I tried to sign up, we set up a consultation with the school. They stood us up; never showing up to the meeting. Even after we waited 20 minutes. Upon a second attempt, we were met with a woman who claimed to be a student at the school. However, 10 minutes into our 'private consultation' a random man we have never seen before joined our zoom meeting. They were never kicked out, even after I mentioned it to our consultant. When I asked her if it was supposed to be private, she just said 'it was supposed to be'. On top of this, our consultant asked us our personal budget within this non-private meeting, and then proceeded to claim they 'had a deal' and she 'needed a minute to look at pricing'. She then proceeded to write down $1000 for each of us, per class level. With 10 levels that's $20000 to become billingual for both of us; twice the cost of Algonquin College as well as twice the time required. What I assume happened here (take this with a grain of salt) is that they ask you your budget so they can charge you as much as you can possibly pay, and that the prices are not consistent for everyone. She was then incredibly pushy; before we said yes she was talking about setting up the time and sending the payment link to our email. All the while a random man sat watching us in the zoom meeting. I told her that I think we would look elsewhere, and she said thank you, promptly ending the meeting. However, I am still getting spammed from Berlitz to finish my registration. The Ottawa Hospital recently took Berlitz off of their recommended language school list, and I think I can clearly see why. I would not recommend going to this school as their pricing practices are questionable and their privacy is nonexistant.

Berlitz Ottawa is a great language school. I went there for six months of instruction in French as part of my career development as an employee in the Public Service of Canada. The full-time staff and the instructors were always very pleasant and highly competent, and they genuinely cared about students' learning. Full-time language training can be a real struggle, but the staff's dedication made it possible for me to excel on my government language tests. Overall, I would recommend this school to anyone seeking to learn French as a second language, and I hope that the federal government continues to send its employees there for their training. Merci beaucoup Berlitz!

I recently took language training at Berlitz Ottawa and was very happy with my experience. All the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the quality of the teachers is also great. Berlitz is a little different than most language schools in that you work with a rotation of teachers. I think that system really works well as you get a chance to hear some different advice and points of view. I probably worked with about 10 or 12 different teachers and they were all fantastic. I would highly recommend Berlitz to anybody.
