Bentoya is all about the bentos, and they do it well! My favourite is the NikuNiku, which has 3 types of meat. The meat is seasoned well, and the karaage is always fresh! Sometimes it’s a bit on the oily side, but I don’t mind as long as it’s not dry. Portions are good too - when I get takeout, I usually have enough for leftovers.
The staff here are always super friendly as well! I think the only downside is it can be a little on the slow side sometimes, but a great spot for a quick lunch or takeout.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The gyudon was very low quality and somehow very "wet"? There was about an inch of water in the bowl which made everything very soggy, including the meat. The meat seemed very low quality as well.
The service was good, but I'm pretty sure there was mold on the paper decorations next to the seating area.
Overall, I can't recommend this location when there are better options in the immediate vicinity.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My family went to BC for my daughter's b-day celebration. We wanted to go to a different Japanese restaurant but it was so a long wait so we decide to try Bentoya. We have walked pass by maybe half a dozen times and I am glad we stop by. It was delicious food, best salad dressing I have ever had. The chicken karaage was the best, it was moist and crunchy at the same time. The server was very friendly and speedy. This place is a total gem, it wasn't busy at all when we were there. This is the place you should eat from, it gave me a very homemade feel to the whole experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was my first, and last time coming here. I was the only person in here and I had to ask twice for my green tea. I finally had it dropped off after 25 minutes of waiting - for when my lunch was put in front of me.
The amount of grease that was pooled at the bottom of my dish was absolutely - disgusting. I was asked if everything was okay, and I agreed. I didn’t notice until I moved the pork around my dish after a few bites.
Also, the rice was stuck together like a little ball of glue. Never coming back and never recommending. Go to Jinya instead.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I like how super diverse is their boxes. you get tons of goodies in one box priced reasonably. staff are nice and friendly 4 star because the chicken karage was not well fried.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had dinner with my family at Bentoya last night. The place offers good value and friendly service from a Japanese gentleman who took our order.
The food quality is fresh and the taste is close to eating home cook foods. It certainly is not the best Ive had but the meal is filling and the central location is a plus!
