Candice is Benevity’s chief financial guru and played an instrumental role in the recent growth financing for the company. Candice leads the finance and legal functions of the business and oversees the Operations team, who have securely distributed nearly $6 billion in donations to 326,000 causes worldwide. With SOC 1 attestation and GDPR privacy and security measures, Candice’s team delivers unmatched accuracy, scale and efficiency to the corporate giving sector by processing 90% of donations electronically through the Benevity platform (the industry average is 34%).
Before landing at Benevity, Candice had a 14-year career spanning Director, VP and C-suite roles in WestJet’s finance department. Prior to that, she held accounting and audit positions at a semiconductor manufacturer in California and at an international accounting firm.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have not had a very good customer service experience with Benevity. Response times to emails are over two weeks. They also make the administration for the approval process very cumbersome, for example by requesting customised documents from the banks of non-profits, when a statement / cheque / letter from the opening of the account should be sufficient.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love their building and office! It has a very startup feel with open offices, lots of space to chill and a kitchen stocked full of food and drinks. Everyone is truly committed to their mission of helping people contribute to the causes that they care about and it is super inspiring!
If you go under the bridge near the office you will see rocks that were painted in rainbow colours which was due to a volunteer event organized by Benevity and shows what an awesome company they are!
