Hey there! I'm Carissa- I've been doing hair for 9 years now, and am the manager here at BHS! After living in Calgary for six years, being mentored by some amazing stylists, I took a risk in the name of love and moved to Edmonton in March 2021 to be with my now fiancé (in the middle of a pandemic... i know). In the almost-decade that I've been in this industry, I have never been more in love with my career. I've been fortunate enough to have attended classes around Western Canada and the U.S. to keep me up to date on all of the latest trends and techniques, and I'm always pursuing the 'gram for inspo.
I know that it can be nerve-wracking to branch out and see a new stylist , so when you sit in my chair, I want you to feel as comfortable as possible. I really value open and honest communication. Whether its a more lived-in look, maximum blonde, or somewhere in between; I'm your gal. I love coming up with a game plan to help my clients achieve their dream hair.
If I'm not in the salon, you can usually catch me outside for a run or in my kitchen baking some sort of treat! I can't wait to meet you! Xo

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recently had my hair done with Kendra about 2 weeks ago. It was my first time coming to the salon and I was nervous going to a new stylist a month before my wedding. I ended up having an amazing experience! The salon is super clean and very nicely decorated. Kendra was very nice and easy to talk to and she did an amazing job! She did exactly what I wanted and took her time. Would highly recommend!!

She installed my extensions, I’ve had extensions for a few years now but this was my first set from her and the blend, install, style, tone, all perfect! Also love the fact my extensions are low maintenance and the move ups are so fast! Highly recommend her ❤️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had an appointment with Kendra and she was AMAZING. Somehow she got rid of all my split ends, gave me a killer hair cut, and kept all the length for my wedding. AND THE BLOND!! She added so much depth into my colour I can't get over it! She also recommended some awesome products. The studio was clean and pretty, the experience was super relaxing, and Kendra is really fun to talk to! Blond is hard. This is the best place to get blond done in the city BY far!

I have some gray hair that is coming in white and she recommended such a beautiful shade of blonde that integrates so well with the gray. You can’t even tell when I pull my hair back. She makes the experience fun and makes sure that every hair is in place. The salon is clean, spacious and has a very friendly environment. I would recommend Kendra and the salon to anyone looking for a new hairdressing home.

I couldn't believe how well-blended the balayage turned out on my brown hair - it looks naturally sun-kissed! The hair cut was also expertly done and I loved how she trimmed the ends so that there is a slight curve towards the bottom on both sides. Thanks, Carissa, for doing such an amazing job on my hair!

I’m very particular about my blonde but I’ve seen both Bailey & Kendra and I can’t say enough about their skill & experience. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was very happy about my experience at this salon. My hair is naturally dark brown and it is quite short, but I knew it would still be a lengthy process. Brittney was my stylist and she did a fantastic job!! Very talkative and very kind the entire time. Having never had my hair coloured like this in a salon, I was very satisfied and extremely happy with the end result. The atmosphere is amazing and everyone here is very welcoming. Thank you Brittney, and other staff! Will definitely be coming back whenever I need root touch ups.
