Great place to go for a walk amid nature in the swamp right in the middle of Barrie

What a little hidden gem found right in the city. Convenient parking off of Ferndale which leads to walking paths, suitable for all age levels, to a board walk that goes right through the wetlands. This path then leads to another larger path that continues past the wetlands on the one side and a seperate pond area on the other. Great little outing for young children. Lots of geese, ducks, and various other birds and wildlife with easy to negotiate walkways.

One of the hidden gems inside Barrie. Free parking too!! Just don't tell the Mayor...he will take care of that in a heart beat. That aside this really is a great place to stroll. If you have young children, do take them here.

It's turtle season. There is a big snapping turtle and lots of painted turtles!

Really nice walk, get to see some turtles and frogs but beware of Geese that don't give a bleep. Would be 5 stars if it weren't for these dwmn geese we couldn't get past on the trail

Was very pretty but not the biggest place to walk dogs. Very pretty spot for pics though

The park is not big. It's very quiet although it's beside a busy street. The well built boardwalk is over the wetland. The lookout square is nice for kids to watch ducks, goose, frogs and turtles. There is a short trail along the river. It's very beautiful in fall. One-way parking is free. It's need spring clean up.

At this eco-park there are turtles, ducks, frogs, dragonflies, sometimes very small fish, and lots of bunnies!! The forest trails are good. There are noticeable large tree roots in the ground, but they’re not too bad. A nice place for a walk with the dog, not recommend to let them run off-leash. Deeper into the forest we discovered a small clearing with lots of lily pads! The bridge leading across the marsh is fairly clean. This is one of the best natural places in Barrie to watch sunsets, just make sure to bring bug spray!!
