Always get great service and products when I pay a visit to Wasaga Beach Decorating Centre. Great that they keep a file on all your paint purchases so you don't have the task of keeping your own records on the paint you're using throughout your house. Thanks guys..appreciate your friendly service.

Never been, but looks good. Looking for lamp shades 11.5x15 for my couch end tables. can't find any that aren't grossly over priced. Maybe you sell them for a better deal?

Firstly, I have never posted a review before and this is the first bad experience I have had at Wasaga Beach Decorating. I have lived in the area over 20 years and I have been a regular customer over this period of time. In summary, Dave the owner and I had an agreement to repair a blind, the string broke. I was told it would cost $80.-$100. and likely take a month with COVID which I accepted. 3 or 4 times I followed up and they indicated that they would follow up and that it wasn't completed yet. I patiently waited 2 months. Then I received a call from Shannon Dave's daughter that Purolator lost my blind at the end of another week it was determined by Purolator that they "closed" the case of my missing blind and that Wasaga Beach Decorating would have to submit a claim for my missing blind. Shannon told me that Wasaga Beach Decorating would make things right and apologized many times. I was there when Shannon and Dave had Purolator on the line submitting the claim. At no time was I told that my blind never reached Shade O Matic and was never repaired. In hind sight, I recall when Purolator asked Dave if he was the 'shipper' or 'receiver' and he said 'shipper' of the missing blind and I thought to myself that isn't correct as, if it had been repaired and had been shipped back and went missing from Shade O Matic he would be the 'receiver'. The claim amount was $100. for the missing blind for it to be replaced. I left the store and was told that a new blind would be ordered for me. I called a week later to see about the ETA and I was told another week and that Purolator had called and said they had a possible match for the missing blind and they were not entertaining the claim until this possibility was looked into. I received a call this morning that I was given a choice, send my UNREPAIRED BLIND NOW FOUND 8 WEEKS LATER (I was just finding out that it was unrepaired) back to Shade O Matic and pay $114.00 plus $30. shipping and wait another month or who knows how long or pay $140. for the new blind which was apparently Dave's cost. All I wanted was to pay the agreed on amount of $100. plus tax, instead Dave did not even think about what I had been through as a customer at this point, indicated that he would rather "throw the new blind in the garbage" if I wasn't willing to pay the $140. He was extremely rude to me and indicated he had "painters on the line and customers in the store" and basically didn't want to address or resolve my concern. I ended up very upset going to pick up both my unrepaired blind and the newly ordered one. No apology, no small gesture to keep me as a client a mere $26. difference after all I had been through. He was just interested in getting his $140. and ushering me out the door. I stopped to tell him on my way out that he was extremely rude, he deceived me and lost me as a customer which he obviously didn't care about as he had so many other customers.
