About Baya Rica Cafe

Connection, quality, simplicity, and back-to-roots would only start to explain who we are. From what feels like the beginning of time, we are best friends who share a passion for drinking coffee, exploring coffee, talking about coffee, and life over coffee.

We met at work almost 20 years ago, where our friendship began. After about five years of working together, we went our separate ways to build our careers while maintaining a sisterhood friendship.

Our love of coffee led us to buy a sample roaster and roast green coffee beans in our garage on our days off work for fun. We decided to join our love for coffee with business and possibly open a coffee roasting company one day. Instead of just roasting coffee beans, we decided to share our love and passion for roasting and coffee with the public.

Owning the Baya Rica CafΓ© allows us to share our passion and work in an environment where we can share and promote our values. We live by integrity, community, giving back, and being fair to customers, employees, farmers and business partners—connection, quality, simple and back-to-roots.

Stopped in with a friend and found their fantastic supply of Invermere bakery GF goods! Absolutely lovely chat with the owner/manger and barista, then had one of the best cups of coffee I’ve had in a long time! Truly amazing place, i highly recommend!

We had such a lovely time on your sunny patio today, snacking on our Ukrainian Easter basket and drinking your delicious coffee. Thank you for the great service and warm smiles.

Got the latte here and it was pretty good! They didn't have oat milk which I usually get but was able to mix almond and soy milk instead. The staff was really friendly and we had a nice chat while we waited for the coffee.

The baristas are always so friendly and knowledgeable! They're so helpful and it's amazing to support a local coffee place that does full service code from bean growing to brewing!

Despite new ownership baya rica is still an amazing place to have a great cup of coffee and a pastry or sandwich. The best coffee in bridgeland by far, and a great atmosphere. I've been here a few times since it changed, and the owner has been there every time! The staff have always seemed happy and super involved in the (all good) changes they're making. A great place to support.

After being told there were hour and a half waits for all the breakfast places in the area, I decided to check out this quaint little cafe. It is situated in an older yellow house with great outdoor seating and a homey interior. The coffee was delicious, with home made breakfast sandwiches and alfajores. Amazing.

Great cappuccino! Friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Brett the Barista is so fun and cheerful. Gluten free goodies and international coffees, a great combo. Little outdoor patio makes for an Al fresco coffee break. I'll be back.

At last I took the step to eat a gluten-free Belgian waffle. It exceeded my expectations, it was delicious! The cappuccino with oat milk was great too. It felt cozy inside. Nice place to have a drink and bite.
