BAY6 Solutions Inc. is a Canadian company providing patented magnetic filtration technology to the mining, oil and gas, and heavy construction industries since 2009. We design and manufacture solutions to improve hydraulic oil filtration in mobile equipment.

Until now, equipment owners have been forced to accept the extensive cost of recurring hydraulic system breakdowns due to standard filter limitations. One of our early customers was wasting a lot of time and money repairing ongoing hydraulic failures on their fleet of haul trucks. When repeated attempts by the equipment manufacturer, the dealer and the filter supplier could not resolve this problem, BAY6 Solutions was contacted and tasked with developing an effective means to stop these cycles of failures. We identified key weaknesses of OEM filtration: OEM filters cannot filter out finer particles, and when confronted with large amounts of iron created during a failure, they plug and force filter by-pass operation.

The company founders drew on many decades of experience to develop Mag-Shields as an effective product to address the limitations of OEM filters and deal with the most common and damaging contaminant, iron. Equipment owners no longer need to accept hydraulic failures as inevitable.

Many of our customers have designated Mag-Shields “an official reliability improvement strategy”. We are proud of this accomplishment and continue to strive to meet our customers’ needs by developing Mag-Shields for new applications. We understand that equipment downtime is critical, and our customers have commended us on our ability to work within their tight timelines. Mag-Shields are being installed on new and used equipment by customer technicians and major OEM dealers. Some of our customers include: Syncrude Canada, Suncor Energy, North American Construction Group, Teck HVC, Teck Coal, Caterpillar, Komatsu America, Finning International, SMS Equipment, Shell Canada Energy and Imperial Oil Resources.
