★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic 16.6km hike around Barrier Lake and climbing 861meters to the fore lookout for lunch returning via Jewell Pass with very little snow. Microspikes needed.

Nice and easy hike. Most of the trail is quite steady just some parts that are a little bit steep but doable. Hiking poles can be useful when going down but not necessary.
The nice views are on the top.
