The plus: -On the lake location -Free canoes -On the cheaper side compared to other places in the area The bad -too noisy being right next to the highway -NO air conditioning -some beds were broken -the BBQ's were filthy ,full of residue from previous guests .The owner kind of told me that I'll have to clean, even though he did it and looked unhappy about it -the owner always looked like he didn't want us there, very cold person The overall feeling was that we were not welcomed there.. But I didn't really care for that, we just had fun, that's why 3 stars Not returning

The hosts Kelly and Ken are probably the friendliest people you could meet. Thanks guys for a great week, I hope to see you again next year!
G	Greg Dunn on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I highly recommend Barkwick Camp if you want to relax and slow things down. The fishing is outstanding and there is hardly anybody out there. I like to dirt bike and this place has the best trails I've seen yet (1,000 km of trails in all directions).

We had lots of room on the lawn for games, and our little dog loved all the exploring. Can't wait to go back next year! Thanks Ken for a wonderful weekend.
T	Texas Potency on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I first came here as a child with my dad about 12-15 years ago and left with such a positive impression that I came back with my friends to celebrate a low-key bachelor party weekend. We stayed in the cottage which was well furnished, had a nice new tv, and all the necessities to enjoy a long weekend with some friends. The lake is great for swimming in and we also had the opportunity to take in some canoeing. As it is today, it looks like we will be coming back again next summer.

Myself, my boyfriend and our dog booked a last-minute weekend trip here and it was an incredible little getaway. Ken and Kelly are very helpful, accommodating, friendly and kindhearted people and the cottage was beautiful! They'd clearly put much thought into the cottage's recent upgrades and it's in a perfect location. Not to mention the price is extremely reasonable! Very satisfied with our experience and will definitely be going back!!

It's located right at the waters edge which made it so convenient for the kids and us. ....no packing up to go to the beach! The water there is so nice...clear and clean. Ken the owner was very hospitable and always there if you needed anything. The neighbors were very friendly. The fishing was GREAT! Barkwick camp is now our family's yearly cottage destination! I'd highly reallyrecommend it. See you next year Ken!

We got a canoe and there was a beautiful spot under the bridge to go. Also brought out father in law's motor boat and went tubbing and fishing was great time. Would definitely come back!
