About Pleasant Point Mennonite Church

The church began in 1925 as the worshipping community of German-speaking Mennonites who escaped the Russian Revolution. The original church building, built in 1909, was a Moravian church until the population dwindled and the Mennonites were invited to worship there, eventually buying it and expanding the structure. Having a Mennonite church with a steeple is unique in Saskatchewan as the churches are usually more simple. Original members were from the surrounding farms.
