★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was hesitant to comment but after reading mother earths review I feel the need to comment after bringing my dog home she was red all over like she was definitely cut too short ok sucks but can live with that for a full week she was terrified of everyone and then the scabs all over her back they are grooming with dull razors sheers what ever they use if you love your pets don’t bring them here ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mother Earths claims of dog "beatings with a stick" are slanderous and untrue . I am suspicious of people who post reviews without revealing their real name . I did further research and saw the same review under a different name . On checking our appt. book there was no dog listed under the name she gave. As the owner of the Barking Lot for over 38 years, i can guarantee that I have NEVER beaten a dog with anything, let alone a metal stick . Its too easy for anyone to post anything even if its not true, then hide behind a pseudonym.
The Barking Lot is the longest running grooming shop in Thunder Bay with the original owner/groomers . If such malicious claims of dog abuse were true, then surely we wouldnt have stayed in business for so long.
We may not be the fanciest place in town but we DO provide quality grooming at reasonable prices Many of the groomers at other shops started their training at the Barking Lot. There are 7 groomers at 1322 Brown St which houses the Barking Lot and the Dirty Dawg. NONE of these groomers would ever beat a dog. So its unlikeky that this is a case of mistaken identity. Mother Earth is welcome to call me personally to set this right.
