★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The older guy working there was totally UNPROFESSIONAL. He was watching T.V while making my beard and then gave me a cut at the top. Instead of apologizing he then kept ranting. SUCH UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE. NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a nightmare living in a town where there are zero hair salons/stylists/ barbershops capable of styling a person of colour hair....so when I found these guys I was overjoyed!
Barber-In-A-Box is a small barbershop, with talented barbers located in Barrie.
What I'm not a fan of is the fact that if I have a 11am appt 11:38am I'm still waiting!!!
Still, really always happy with the work.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I want to start by saying i dont pride myself in leaving bad reviews, i feel it was necessary to express my experience. I walked in for a cut no appointment and got starred at like i just walked into someones personal home no greeting at all so i took it upon myself to ask if they took walk ins and if i should sit down he responded with a nod and said take a seat, so i did… i was behind a few others waiting (no problem) i waited about an hour in that hour 2 more people walked in behind me one actually came up to me to ask if i was waiting for someone or if i was getting a cut.. that indicates to me he doesn’t have an appt and hes wondering the wait time. So anyways this man that came after me got called up before me after ive been waiting a majority of my Saturday i thought this was extremely unprofessional especially because he knew i was there before him you’d think you would get a “hey sorry sir he has an appointment” or “sorry for the wait we’ll be right with you” none of that so i was left assuming again and i didn't have time to see if i was going to be taken next or if the other guy in front of me was going to get priority again . Despite there awesome work and talent i wont be back due to lack of communication professionalism and respect

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There were two barbers when I went. I went to the older looking guy. He was totally unprofessional, watching the TV while the razor was on my neck. I felt very unsafe. For his convenience to watch the TV, he would turn me to the opposite direction of the mirror and I couldn't see what he was doing my hair at all. He won't listen to what I was saying what I want, neither would he argue with me. IMO, that's more dangerous. After a point, I gave up and decided to go home and get it adjusted myself with a trimmer.
For the service they are providing, $30++ is expensive. And he won't take cards, only cash.
I know, finding a good barber is very difficult. But, I won't recommend this place.
