โ โ โ โ โ Food is great, really enjoy pork buns and curry beef buns.
Don't tip if you get a bag since you do by default. A paper bag does not cost 25 cents, more around 5-9 cents. Vancouver's new by-law is 15 cents per bag and that goes to the companies profit but, Bao Bakery charges 25 cents. That is pure profit to the company ... OR a mandatory tip.

โ โ โ โ โ We usually order the steamed buns and lumpia shanghai hereโฆ I really like the chicken deluxe (bola bola) bun! My husband likes the bbq pork one. I hope to try their other steamed buns in the future! Itโs so nice when we note my husbands allergy and they try to communicate with us about it.. I really really appreciate that!

โ โ โ โ โ I love everything here. I canโt step out of Joyce-Collingwood station without stopping to buy some bao and buns. Delicious and reasonably priced.

โ โ โ โ โ Steamed buns were good in both taste and value. Quick service. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is because we couldn't really taste the difference between regular chicken vs bola bola special chicken...
FYI the buns don't have any milk powder so it is good for those with dairy allergies.

โ โ โ โ โ First time I visited this place was around 2017,when they opened (if am not mistaken).I loved the placed that time only.I missed this bao and their other pastries. As a person who travels around I tried bao from many places. But still i loved theirs. After a long time,i came back to Vancouver, first thing I did was visiting this place and their bao and some pastries
Would definitely recommend everyone to try this place.

โ โ โ โ โ Wow! I bought a UBE sesame balls and it was hot, freshly cooked and soft. Also I got a coffee bun which tasted so delicious and was so soft! Wow you need to visit the place!

โ โ โ โ โ Stopped in here to grab a few buns. I was the only one there. I asked the staff what was the most popular and she said the steam buns. So I got the following:
BBQ pork steamed Bun - I enjoyed it more than the baked. The filling was not overly salty and had a decent amount of filling. The bun was soft and not rubbery or hard.
BBQ pork baked Bun - it was a good bun but just not as soft as the steam bun. Filling was the same.
Egg Tarts - the egg tarts were ok. Not as buttery as I like. The crust was flaky but lacked the buttery flavour and texture. The custard middle was not as rich as what I am used to.
If I go back I would skip on the egg tarts and I would love to try their red bean steam buns.

โ โ โ โ โ The best steamed buns in town. The quality and flavor are excellent. All their other baked goods and pastries are as good. The price can be a bit expensive but good food always comes with a price. Definitely one of my favorite bakery.
