★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice activity to do in the Winter in Banff. Easy online booking. The staff is very friendly and you can enjoy a free apple cider or hot chocolate after your ride. I am only giving 4 stars because I think it is relatively expensive especially if you have a family.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My family and I have had the pleasure of taking several trips with this company. Whether it was trail rides or recently a sleigh ride, you can be sure that you will be well taken care of. The horses were magnificent, well cared for and obviously loved by the staff. Safety of both horses and riders are taken very seriously by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. I wouldn't hesitate to go anywhere with these great guides. If you want to experience life on horseback with good people in truly beautiful countryside; then this place is where you start.

Staff was very friendly, horses were majestic and the whole experience is worth experiencing, especially around Christmas!
Would definitely recommend!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Once again a wonderful experience with Trail Riders in Banff. It had been six years since we first enjoyed the Spey River Trail on horseback and on returning to Banff we had to do it again and ride was no less of a highlight to our visit. Our ride guides Mike and Mel were exemplary with Mike sharing his knowledge of the trail, the country and the history of the local area and the 'high country' and Mel ensuring everyone was safe from the rear! Must also mention our 'meet & greet' / 'trainer' who met us with such friendliness and enthusiasm putting all on the ride at ease from the minute of arrival not forgetting Wilson & Dallas, our trusty steeds! Thanks to you all Robert & Gail Baldock

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do you like horses? Do you like Banff? Combine the two! Banff Trail Riders offers some world class amazing horse rides and other packages to check out. In the summer time you can go on a horseback ride through the town, through the hills, the Bow River and back again. In the winter you can go on a real life old timey sleigh ride through snow covered trails (Shout out to Gus! A great guide full of all sorts of info). Both options are super beautiful.
They also do horseback trail rides into the mountains with cowboys and a professional chef, cooking you lunch, giving you a real life old fashioned experience. If you're interested in doing a multi-day ride, they have that too. They handle everything. It's super awesome.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Over the Christmas holidays, we rented a private sleigh ride for our family. Despite the cold temperature (-25 degrees Celsius) we had a blast. Our driver Michael (I think that was his name) was fantastic - very informative on horses and the scenery, and funny. Our two horses were very friendly.
The views were spectacular, and we even saw several elk in the bushes. It was definitely a great way to create some great family memories!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We joined the 1-hr ride along the Bow River. The event was very well organized. All the cowgirls were very friendly, attentive and patient enough to show us some basic skills on how to control horses. The assigned horses were lovely and very friendly to humans. This is a marvelous experience for us to ride in such a beautiful environment of snow mountains and Bow river. Highly recommend this horse ride to everyone who visit Banff! We certainly look forward to be back soon!
