β β β β β 1hr Bow River ride is a good pick for first time riders like my family. Part of the route overlaps wirh the Bow River hiking trail. Chances are you can spot wildlife.οΌWe saw a deer and a chipmunk.οΌStaff are friendly and reliable, making us feel safe. My 8yr old was anxious in the beginning. Thankfully, with the staff's gentle instruction, she calmed down and complete the journey with her horse, Bohdi.

β β β β β The stables are easy to get to, especially if you are staying right in Banff. All of the staff are friendly & the horses are warm/inviting and approachable. It was a great view of all the mountains in Banff without any city life surrounding them. We had beautiful weather, winter but above zero. We purchased a blanket and I would recommend doing so because the wind can make it a little chilly. We brought our 10 month old daughter who sat on our lap and she had a great time too.

β β β β β Had a great time with my daughter!! She rides English at home so she is experienced but it was my first time on a horse. Staff were super and helpful. Horses were all trained well and easy to ride and control. Great place for a fun afternoon.

β β β β β We booked the 1 hour Bow River Ride. Had an amazing time. People need to get over getting weighed. EVERYONE gets weighed. It's to pair the right horse with the right rider. I would be worried if they DIDN'T take their horses' health and wellbeing into consideration.
Anyway.
I rode the Arabian named Brewster. He was very spirited and tried to cut line at every opportunity. He nipped the horse in front named Bullseye a few times. Apparently Brewster was only one of the only two Arabian horses at the stables. The ride was picturesque. I recommend you wear sunscreen and bug spray in the Summer/Autumn months.
You will not be disappointed by the experience. Shout out to Kelly and Lena for their help and guidance during the ride. You guys are the best!

β β β β β The female owner/manager was uninviting upon arrival. The male that ran the sleigh ride was very friendly but the ride was 3 circles on property not more then 100 meters from the barn it started at. You didn't travel anywhere and the ride was far from "romantic". The "chocolates" that were advertised was a very cheap smores kit. The blanket was an emergency blanket that can't be used for much else. Thin and uncomfortable crunchy material. I paid 224$ for this event and I can't say it was worth it.

β β β β β Did the 1 hour Spray River Ride with my family and it was a fun experience! Although I did feel a little bad for the horsies (they were all cooped up & fenced in with little space between each other), I do think they are well taken care of. Iβm not sure how the 1 hr bow valley ride is but I recommend you do the spray river because it was nice to be able to cross through water twice. The guide at the front also gave some fun facts while riding but I feel like they could do more to make the ride even more exciting.

β β β β β GREAT COUNTRY SIDE SLEIGH RIDE
Had booked a short private tour around the area and were hosted by Brooklyn. We had a lovely and comfy ride through the country side and some sweet background stories told by Brooklyn. "O what fun it is to ride
in a one-horse open sleigh".... Loved every minute of it. At the we got the blanket as a souvenir. Nice! Greetings, from the Netherlands!
