Hikers are complaining that the trail is not maintained in a number if different section, the trail needs to remain wild and should be be converted to a graded and maintained trail that is part of the appeal of this trail system. This a great trail running trail from west van to deep cove

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Solid well marked trail. Did the section from Lynn Valley to Grouse. Not very crowded on a Saturday afternoon but also not particularly scenic. Crosses a few streams with some sections that are steep and others that are quite flat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Did the first 5km of the trail and then turned back around. It's mostly uphill, so good workout. Be careful on the way back as there are some steep sections and little rocks, so it's easy to slip. At the 4km mark there's a nice little bench with a bit of a city view, good for a little snack break. Watch out for bikers though, sometimes they come down fast and some parts of the trail are narrow. All in all a nice hike.
