Well last year I rated this school 5 stars because I was in love with it and so was my son! Last year when I registered him it was the 1st year the school opened and there were 4 teachers and the owner, and there were 15 students approximately so they gave my son the extra attention that he needed cuz he's not an easy kid to take care off he needs extra attention and more patience than other students and I seen a lot of progress so I was beyond happy with my experience. THEN! This year ... or this month hahahaha he went to school on an average of 14 days and boy oh boy oh boy ... same amount of teachers and the owner and 40 students ... so obviously my son wasn't getting the attention he needs! And everyday he complains about them, and they would complain about him, that he's hitting kids. They supposedly have an occupational therapist that helps kids that need the extra attention or speech delays or other things but I don't know why she wasn't helping my son... anyway, one Thursday after I pick him up from school he tells me his teacher hit him, so I started asking him questions and changing the subject and investigating more into it. I felt he was telling the truth so I went back and confronted them (the owner and an awesome teacher that works there) obviously she said no way it didn't happen and my son is lying. He kept insisting in front of them that she did hit him. Then at the end he started saying no she didn't, probably cuz he felt pressured by all the questions, or maybe he was lying. I don't know what happened that day and neither does hayat (the owner) cuz she wasn't there either. The next day she calls me so we can meet on Monday we go me and my husband and we talked things out and hayat told us we'll get him someone funded by the government to stay with him and we agreed and everything was good. Oct 2 I make her an e-transfer and I call hayat to let her know and to prepare a receipt for me. Then she tells me "oh just to let u know this is the last month I will accept Amir in my school, because he keeps hitting the teacher and the students, and if u wanna take him out now I'll return ur money (I swear he's not like that when I take him to indoor playgrounds or to a friend's house and plays with kids). I took him out that same day and told her I won't keep him in a place where he is not welcomed. If you have a child that needs extra attention DON'T EVEN BOTHER WITH THIS SCHOOL!!!! They just want the easy kids! Horrible experience for me and my son.

I have had the utmost pleasure of calling B Smart "home" for three years. My children have attended preschool at B Smart and it will be extremely sad to say goodbye in June to Hayat and her amazing staff! With me being a teacher myself, I looked for a preschool which would not only love my children but would also provide hands-on learning, self-growth, self-awareness, Arabic and Islamic Studies, fieldtrips, crafts and activities, B-Smart did this! I wanted a school that would provide my children with the three most important things I value most in a classroom - for them to feel safe, to feel important, and to become a leader. B-Smart did this! B-Smart is continually involving their students in different fundraisers - IFSSA, Edmonton Food Bank, Zakat boxes, Ramadan food baskets, etc. What an amazing way to get young children involved in their community! B-Smart ended every month with a celebration for all the students' hard work. B-Smart brought in creative and educational workstations and play areas for students to learn and grow. B-Smart greeted my children every morning with a smile and made them feel welcomed. B-Smart went over and beyond during this pandemic with continuously updating parents with their cleaning protocols. Every morning they checked each student for their temperature. This made me feel very safe with bringing my child to school. And last, I cant write this without getting emotional describing Hayat and her amazing teachers - they were "moms" to my children three hours a day five days a week. They are beautiful, caring, kind, respectful, hardworking, dedicated, loving, and wonderful human beings and I am so blessed to have called B-Smart home!

Lady at the front door that greets parents and children everyday brings that whole school together . If I could pick one great thing about this school would be her ? as soon as I see or hear her my whole day changes to the positive . Can’t wait everyday to see her and say hello
